I'm certain no one here knows everything. I downloaded gigabytes of random survival, back to basics, natural medicine, etc. It is copied to all my families' phones because... Why not We printed out recipes and such hard copies and books on subjects. That way we use less of the online/ electric resources. In an EMP knowledge is golden. Achduke |

(OP) User ID: 69637911 United States 05/25/2021 11:53 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If I bring my mobile phone, passport and my wallet, I have access to all my finances, all family pictures, other important documents, debit- and creditcards, and ID. Then I would also bring a 512GB memory card, which contains backup of everything that is stored in the cloud. Quoting: SpeakerOfDarkSentences I recommend a usb 18650 battery charger. The one i have is just a few ounces, without the batteries/cells. If you're in a city, there a millions of 18650 cells/batteries that are all partially charged that can be used to keep your phone/device powered for a few years. 18650 can be found in many laptops, tools, etc. Just use caution harvesting these cells. My car has a 65Ah battery and an extra 12V cigarette outlet that can be connected directly to the battery poles, and a matching USB adapter for charging. I use that when I am out in the field working. Even if my car breaks down completely, I have power for several days. It takes 2Ah to fully charge my mobile. But if it is a total SHTF situation, as people above have pointed out, there won't be any cell services available. Otherwise, I can use my mobile to buy everything I need. I had the Air Conditioning go out on an old diesel van. I may just change the AC Pump out with an additional alternator to charge batteries and even run a small Electric Air Conditioner. Why waste all that power on one device like and AC Pump. Achduke |

Quoting: Achduke7 1st Security. If you can not save yourself then everything is lost. 2nd Money. Most everything can be bought if society has not fallen to pieces. 3rd Shelter - Car but you may be forced to abandon it on route so you need more shelter. 4th Water filtration. You cannot carry enough water with you and need to find local supplies. 5th Food and forage. Jerky, Energy Bars, etc. Small and easy to take but long term you will most probably need to grow your own food so seeds. 6th Energy - Fire, USB battery packs, etc. 7th Sanitation - Need a place for waste to go. Shovel, bags? Just a start. Money: Don't forget "Junk Silver"..1964 or older US dines, quarters, half dollars and silver dollars. Each coin is 90% REAL SILVER. When FRNs/dollars are no longer accepted, silver and gold will be at a massive premium. Barter as Money: BIC/other Lighters, 22lr ammo in 5 round lots, zip ties and 550 paracord, cigarettes/booze, obviously food. Knowledge to filter water in easy to hand out flyer form. INFORMATION/KNOWLEDGE will be akin to money. Sanitation: 5-gallon bucket with lid, trash bags TP, wipes, and one of those toilet seats that fit on top of the bucket. MAKE SURE your family knows exactly how to use it properly, or they may end up screwing the whole deal for everyone. |

Quoting: Achduke7 Just a thought experiment. The average man in decent health can carry up to 120lbs for any extended period. Average woman can do about 80 to 100 lbs. I would consider what you need to SURVIVE outdoors and what is necessary to continue your journey. Note... That 120 lbs does not include food or water so you will need skills. Anything else is foolishness and unrealistic. Once the SHTF all logically perceived Survivability training is out the door. Your best chance to SURVIVE if you have the skills will be to either hunker down and pray or move out to nearest forest wait out tje chaos and start moving to your off grid location if you have one. If you don't, go as far away from city as possible and begin making long term shelter and focus on safety, security, shelter, water and food. |

Papers and photo's of course if you never scanned them and saved them to the cloud. If you know you can come back to salvage anything then you just don't worry much about anything. You know it will be gone, take only the most valuable and unreplaceable. Set the animals free except those that are considered family members. Remember to bring them several days of food and water as well. Good luck bugging out. |

Shovel, bags? Just a start. Great list! I would also add: 1. some form of two way hand-held radio (Usually need license, but not in emergency) and portable solar panels. They make foldable ones that you can actually wear draped down your back, so as you hike they can be charging batteries. I keep all electronics in an improvised faraday cage, which is a metal trash can from which I have removed the lid handle and put copper foil tape over the Holes. I also got some rubber weather stripping and put it around the inside rim of the lid and taped it down with the same copper foil tape. I found that I could still get Bluetooth signal through that, until I used a couple of tie-downs to tighten the lid better. My father, who is a ham radio geek, said that the equipment would most likely Not be affected by an EMP, but I have a hard time seeing how that is the case, so better safe than sorry. Inside this I also have some old ammo boxes with the paint sanded off around the top for conductivity and have the same copper foil tape all around the rubber gasket. If I am concerned about further pulses and have to go, I can put the minimum in this and leave with it. If you are forced into a walking scenario, I suppose you just have to take your chances and leave the faraday boxes behind and go with blackout bags. 2. I would also want a change of clothes, preferably wool, depending on season, in case you get wet. 3. In my phone I carry a credit card size “survival card”, which is a thin piece of very hard sheet metal (I hope it’s hard, as I haven’t tested it) that has a lot of items like fishing hooks, trident spear tips, small fine-toothed saws, line slips, etc all laser etched Into it. They are a few bucks on amazon. The one I have is by Alpha Outpost. 4. Small first aid kit. I am a "conspiracy theorist.” I believe men and women of wealth and power conspire. If you don't think so, then you are what is called "an idiot.” If you believe stuff but fear the label, you are what is called "a coward.” --David B Collum |

I hope your gas tank is full. Try to fill it but don't get stuck in a line. 4. Start calling family members while loading your vehicle. Give them specific names of who to call so YOU don't have to waste time calling everybody. (tell them a specific meeting place like a major casino or a lake or a major intersection). 5. If you have four hours...be on the road in one hour...in 2 hours the roads will be jammed. (have alternate routs). 6. DON'T forget the fishing rods!!! |
