Often to utah and other similar states. The rest have gone to the hamptons or the hudson valley permanently. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79744900 They're not coming back so they really don't care. If they sold and moved then someone bought the property and moved in. |

There will be panhandlers living in that shelter making more money than half of Americans. They'll likely have social workers on staff teaching them how to get all the benefits, too. It'll be like a free luxury hotel right on Central Park. Cool! I may have to reevaluate my dream to retire at The Villages. Do they have swinger parties at the homeless shelter? Give 'em the top floor. I'm serious. And add an addiction clinic as well. We have a lot of mentally ill people that have no where to go and no where to get help so I'm all for bringing back the institutions providing they are humanely run (not like the old ones where they literally tortured and murdered people). Don't stop at the homeless shelters; those don't take care of the mental health and addiction issues that contribute to a lot of homeless people; bring back the mental institutions and addiction centers. Would cost society less in the long wrong and help "some" people at the same time. Have them work in a community garden, community this and that, put them to work and give them some dignity not just free housing, food, vet care, etc., give them JOBS to do, something to do so that they are contributing to society. How about in exchange for their free homeless benefits they clean up the streets and parks. Rant off. |

Quoting: Ughhhhh 75404769 I know, I looked at the street view of this nicest neighborhood in NYC and it just looks disgusting to me. Dirty streets and buildings all crammed together, really ugly scenery. Institutional, grey and morose looking. I've lived all over the country and have always preferred a more spacious, clean, natural landscape. Anyways, hope they enjoy their new mentally ill substance abusers! Unjabbed and Off Grid |

China to buy cheap...? Astroid? Planet x? Somethings up.. Not sure... Yet Romans 14:11 It is written: “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God. Rant off. there are no institutions left, most have even been literally demolished and some were incredibly planned and organized with communities, those capable w/their own little cottages like group homes, they had their recreation centres ,small farms, independent power plants etc etc and due to the usual azzzzholes in charge,THE PLAN WAS for neighborhood inclusion complete with SUPERVISION which never materialized-leaving the vulnerable as easy picking for abuse & exploitation. Someone should retrace these steps and find out where the hell all that funding went. |

I've always thought that those lobbying for illegals, junkies, the less unfortunate, and then dumping them in other neighborhoods should have to "foot the bill". You make millions a month, but you want our $20/hr to pay for the stuff you think they are owed. Their newest member is the co-founder of BLM. She has been buying lots of fancy real estate over the past several months. That includes a home for herself on the other side of the country, in an upper-income, mainly white part of LA, Calif. The burghers of Beijing, China laugh and cackle at what's going on across the Pacific. |

You don't actually believe they are going to let just any ole homeless people in there do you? No, it will be attractive single mothers, ole cat ladies, nice men, and women basically with mental health issues. And, of course, their occasional, immature, spoiled, misguided, and rebellious children, that they refuse to do anything else for. |

Just a back doorway tool to get their kids off to rehab after an intervention, rejection, and then reconciliation. Soon they will be bragging how their child was once homeless and now enlightedned. |
