Also would bet this isn't the particular neighborhood De Blasio has his primary residence in. Liberals talk about how walls are racist...yet have the tallest walls of all surrounding their homes. They say guns are not needed, but demand that there are people with 'high capacity magazines' and automatics are there to protect them. They lobby for homeless shelters in rich neighborhoods...but not in THEIR rich neighborhoods. |

Give 'em the top floor. I'm serious. And add an addiction clinic as well. Quoting: InTheGLPHood We have a lot of mentally ill people that have no where to go and no where to get help so I'm all for bringing back the institutions providing they are humanely run (not like the old ones where they literally tortured and murdered people). Don't stop at the homeless shelters; those don't take care of the mental health and addiction issues that contribute to a lot of homeless people; bring back the mental institutions and addiction centers. Would cost society less in the long wrong and help "some" people at the same time. Have them work in a community garden, community this and that, put them to work and give them some dignity not just free housing, food, vet care, etc., give them JOBS to do, something to do so that they are contributing to society. How about in exchange for their free homeless benefits they clean up the streets and parks. Rant off. The mentally ill are already being housed in the luxury hotels... Among those staying at the luxury Belleclaire on Broadway and the Lucerne on W. 79th Street, and the more down-market Belnord on W. 87th Street, are people who are mentally ill, recovering from drug addictions, and registered sex offenders. Instead they showed me a building a mile away. When I went their, they wouldn't let me use theirs either. The is no Public washrooms in New York. In Center Square there is only MacDonald.
