Haa haaaa! They've been making upper class and middle class neighborhoods have low income housing for years. They need some in their neighborhoods too.

NYC's Billionaire's Row gets new neighbors: De Blasio plans to build a homeless shelter in elite Manhattan neighborhood near luxury Plaza Hotel is given the green light after court dismisses protest lawsuit by residents and business
- The homeless shelter will be created inside the former Park Savoy Hotel in New York city's Billionaire's Row
- The area includes the most expensive home in the United States - a $238 million penthouse sold in 2019 - and the tallest residential building in the world
- Famous faces such as Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez, Sting and Trudi Styler have all bought property along the streets

Re: Elite Billionaire Neighborhood in Manhattan to get a Homeless Shelter
You need to know some the history of Manhattan residential real estate.

There used to be such a thing as single room occupancy hotels. You know, the one's in the black & white gangster movies of the 30s & 40s wherein each room consisted of a bed, sometimes a hot plate, one light bulb hanging from the ceiling, a radiator, and one window that actually opened. The bathroom was down the hall as was the telephone. Yes, such did exist, in the thousands of rooms wherein low income people, earning $15 to $30 @ week in those days, had a decent place to live. It was gentrification, i.e., the $value of the real estate that demolished such buildings, replaced by everything from office towns to luxurious buildings due to demand of higher paying tenants. Hence, no such non-subsidized housing exists today.

Add, Depression & WWII Rent Control government decree -- later a political vote getter -- became a generational housing dependence wherein far below free market rents forced landlords of then existing buildings to minimally maintain their housing or simply abandon them wherein NYC took control. Add Rent Stabilization on newer buildings, also a rent control measure, and the housing stock of available units in NYC diminished. Hence, as it costs nearly the same to build low as high income apartment buildings, sans some luxury amenities, it is free enterprise to build only for the wealthier and better to sell their unit to them, as a condominium, than simply rent as then NYC rent regulations squeeze the landlords' ability to both maintain his building and earn any profit whatsoever.

So homeless shelters, i.e., akin to yesterday's single occupancy hotels, need come back. Though, admittedly, most of the homeless are self-inflicted, a product of drug abuse and mental health issues as the NYS public mental illness facilities statewide were largely closed years ago, same in California. So where else will the homeless now live? And now many more as indigent population increases with drug abuse.

This is a problem everywhere! Across the US, send the illegals to Beverly Hills, better yet, the Governors front yard! I’m tired, pissed off and waiting for a judge to do the right thing!

If the rich don't even have the influence to stop homeless people from being allowed in their neighbourhood no way they could possibly secretly rule the world right? does this not put an end to all your silly conspiracies.

Have notice that these folks have been selling in the last two years and moving elsewhere. Often to utah and other similar states. The rest have gone to the hamptons or the hudson valley permanently.

They're not coming back so they really don't care.

If they sold and moved then someone bought the property and moved in.

Chinese

NYC has been selling VISA’s and fast-track citizenship for half a million in real estate investment ... that’s only $500,000 in cash to live in the “land of the free” ...beats China

The rich are NOT the deep state. They are CONTROLLED by the deep state. THEY are not their own "bosses". They sold their sawwy souls to the DS a long long time ago.

Do your due diligence and research the deep state, and royal bloodlines, etc.

Also, while you're at it, research what "Hollywood" means, and where that name came from.
