Anonymous Coward User ID: 79549839 United States 05/28/2021 01:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I let things go at a place I was living covered with vines and got a severe rodent infestation. Infestation is probably the wrong word. Just animals living their lives. They never bothered me except for all the poop. My cat wasn't any help since she wasn't a hunter. Got a bunch of sticky traps and they worked. The rodents would quickly die of panic after getting stuck. I guess their little hearts exploded, I don't know. I still feel bad about killing dozens of them that way. |

My cats culled so many mice this fall that would have nested in our walls. We have an old house and we rely on them for unequalled rodent control. Enjoy your national mouse infestation is all I can say to the Aussies who endlessly bitched about cats. Hope those mice don't incubate and perpetuate some kind of plague with those numbers... ~~*NOT* a very nice kitty!~~ "Plan for the worst, hope for the best, and don't live in fear." |

Have you considered setting up a small, "stand-alone" tent and placing it on your bed to sleep in? So simple and yet, so profoundly effective. Shelter-in-a-shelter. You could also make a sleeping area that is rodent proof with drywall (cheap!) and some imagination. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 80162448 05/28/2021 02:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Complete and total fear mongering. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 49422720 There is no "mouse plague". ALL the footage I have seen is from the past. There are regularly mouse infestations at badly maintained farms. Media and gov always try to turn mole's into mountains. Get over the fear tactics. Use some common sense. Deny it all you want. Fact is the mice are going to eat all your shit — you and everyone you know, and you damn well know it. Don’t come on here and lie your way out of this mouse problem. No one is buying your lame excuses. |

All those big wooden ships during the age of sail brought in all the mice and rats from other continents. The ubiquitous Argentine ants in the US came from ships in the port of New Orleans. They kill birds too, you know. Baby birds in the nest. House cats aren't enough to make a bird extinct. Humans replacing natural nesting habitat with their cities and suburbs is what kills off the native animals. |

Nature is re-balancing itself after the horrendous wildfires that killed off so much of the indigenous wildlife. Glass-half-full. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78459304 United States 05/28/2021 02:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | That's so weird. I had a dream last night that my mom's house was infested with mice and rats, and I went over there and killed them all with my suppressed 22 pistol. There must have been a hundred mice and just a few rats. (but big ones) weird dream!! Sorry I put so many holes in your house, mom. lol |
