What are YOU memorializinig today?
among other things,

I am grateful we have not experienced the kind of Communist takeover that happened to East Germany -

the human and territorial spoils of war carved up like overripe melons by the powers that were, and are still.

the freedom to bear arms, too.

You?

I can't help thinking about all of the soldiers who died
believing they were protecting the "American Way",

and how sad it is that the "Way" was blatantly stolen in 2020.

I’m just glad that you changed your name to, “Beeches.”

Are you redefining Memorial Day?

Today is to honor those who died in combat.

Period.

It is NOT a day to make up your own meaning. That would dishonor and discredit those who gave their lives in combat.

This is THEIR day. It is a solemn day of remembrance of them and the sacrifice they made (and their families that experienced the loss).

.
“Mental slavery is the worst form of slavery.
It gives you the illusion of freedom,
makes you trust, love, and defend your oppressor,
while making an enemy of those
who are trying to free you or open your eyes.”
-Fiyah

“None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.”
-Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

“You have been programmed to resist the very person that is here to set you free, from the prison of your Mind... You are not free... everything you are has been manufactured by Minds that have not your best interest. You are imprisoned by beliefs and not reality. Religions are mental programs to imprison your Mind.”

Yes. You can memorialize anything you want, any day you want.

TODAY
we remember the soldiers, airmen and sailors who lost their lives doing the most NOBLE thing a person can do with their existence on this planet.

who died, but honor them by memorializing what they fought

Re: What are YOU memorializinig today?
when the time spent in totalitarianism is counted in weeks not decades, you are lucky.

I spent weeks behind the Iron Curtain. Many decades ago. So beautiful, Masuren in Poland.

so absolutely hungry for food and controlled.

even the flagship seafood restaurant in East Berlin had food we would probably not eat here.
Gastmahl des Meeres was its name I think.

Smorgasboard of the Sea.

In a nursing home, I saw vats of greenish mashed potatoes being wheeled between the beds in a 16-bed room in Poland. Wooden paddles like oars scooped the mass onto plates for each bedridden pattient.

nothing else. nothing. They ate if they could lift their hands to their mouths.

that is my way to memorialize what we have. I dearly hope we keep it.

How many Americans have died for an empire of greed and drugs?

How many died so our own soldiers can be kept in lock down at Fort Campbell like prisoners of war due to not wanting their genome spliced?

How many soldiers aren’t honored for their service by current politicians?

This is a sad day for all who have served and died for simply an American Dream.

My Dad fought on the front lines in France in WWII. He was shot several times and passed on 10 years ago with land mine shrapnel in his shoulder at the age of 86.

He was partial disabled the rest of his life. Couldn't run or play sports. But he went on to have a family, 4 children and was productive his whole life.

I salute you Dad and all those who served.

I lost friends under the Bush/Cheney administration and under the Obama/Biden administration. I have a heavy heart knowing that what they thought they were fighting for was not really what they died for. God Bless them, God Bless those who gave their life for this country. I hope someday I live to see these deep state war criminals tried for their crimes.

Re: What are YOU memorializinig today?
Today I remember my wife’s great uncle who she never met. Killed in action October 1, 1918, while delivering a message near the town of Appremont, in the Argonne, and was buried by the Chaplain near where he fell. He gave his life that a Christian world might live. He was 23 years old when he was shot in the chest.

Also, my great 2nd cousin. He was the tail gunner on a B-17 that ditched in the Baltic on August 25, 1944. All 10 crewmen were lost at sea and issued a finding of death.
