A great thing about the 90s was how accepting of people's unique styles people were. I think that is another thing that was new and different about the 90s. Being yourself was not just acceptable. It was cool.
For instance, I don't think this woman was fashionable at all, but everyone just seemed to think being yourself was intrinsically cool. As if being yourself was an important statement in itself.
