Another thing about it is the shameless audacity of saying something so ridiculous but expecting people to take you seriously. And a big reason why that was even possible back then is because there was so much respect for individuality and the right for everyone to have their own personal philosophy.

There was a synergy throughout American society in the 90s that was magical.
