"This Used To Be My Playground" song was released on June 16, 1992. That's less on eight years after "Material Girl" which was released on November 30, 1984. Madonna became so much more mature in such a short time.

The 90s even turned Madonna into a deep, introspective philosopher. I realize now that it wasn't just fashionable to be philosophical in the 90s. There was a force pushing everyone that way.
