That's what so many men say about how things were better back then. There was no shame for even the hottest women to instigate romance in a mature way. And they did it a lot. Because it was seen as two equals sparring for fun regardless of how serious the intentions were. You can see it in that video. So much has been lost. I am so glad I am beyond this stuff, but I feel terrible for the younger generations. There's a whole other level to this that just occurred to me. Back then, since the woman had to put out an effort to get the dates she wanted, she wanted the guy to succeed because getting another date would take significant work. It was kind of like a company that hires new employees. They do whatever they can to help the employees succeed because finding replacements isn't cheap or efficient. It's not like that anymore for attractive women who use dates sites and apps. With just swiping right or left, they have nothing invested in getting dates. Finding new guys is as easy as picking up their phones. Consequently, dates become disposable trash to attractive women. I don't see how the birth rates and marriage rates haven't fallen off a cliff in that environment.
