A spokesperson for Public Health England previously told Reuters: “It is important to note that detecting viral material by PCR (*positive*) does NOT indicate that the virus is fully intact and infectious, i.e. able to cause infection in other people”. Therefore, persons who tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 by RT-PCR may not harbor infectious viruses. The RT-PCR test positive says nothing about active infectious SARS-CoV-2 in the body.


So you see, you got sick. You took a test that said positive. And that positive says nothing about your current sickness or it’s cause or even that you are infectious to anybody else
