The Sumatra event wasn't a quake at all.
It was a asteroid that crashed into the Indian Ocean.
It was never admitted to because THEY knew it was incoming.
And they didn't warn anyone because
A. They weren't sure where it was going to land.
and
B. They didn't know if this was a civilization ending event or not.
When they realized a warning would have saved hundreds of thousands of lives THEY knew they had to cover it up.

I gave the link to his website--choose the 5th on the
menu circle for "Galactic Super Waves" and he gives
the entire history and run-down on the gamma ray burst
that triggered this great quake and tsunami.
That the source WAS FURTHER AWAY than the 2004 magnatar
is probably the only thing that SAVED THE WEST COAST
a fate like Sumatra's. (We hope.)
