Very few people in the South ever owned slaves, and some of the biggest plantationistas, were free blacks.

Am I right?

I'm seeing fewer and fewer Good ol boys these days. The generation of southern men that are firm in their foundation is passing. See plenty of folks driving large jacked up trucks only to find an almost pasty and lost soul behind the wheel.

We are being taught and shown that being a Man is...well let me actually say we are actually not being shown how to be a Man anymore. Rarely do I see things that shown value to building Men rather I see effeminate portrayals and flimsy ideals being expressed and the masses lap it up.

Where are the Men of society? I never thought I would be surrounded by grown men who still give off a child like and submissive quality.

The Man has been greatly attacked over the years.

All of what makes a man isnt physical strength or endurance. Its the values and morals which he lives by. Honor, Courage and Justice.

The democrat state governors of the south and the political agendas to use confederate war heros as race pawns was in full force at that time.

Forrest was a strong believer in the free man ideals and publicly renounced the klan on his exit in 1869. He fought along side black and white southern soldiers. The battle field will change men and its hard for me to believe he didnt grow a greater respect for the black men fighting along side him.
