Maybe because they wanted to skip the hospital trying to steal everything that they worked for in life away from their family, it's what they do.

God forbid people should die at home with dignity, instead of with assholes jumping all over you who fail to save you because you WERE GOING TO DIE ANYWAY and then have the unmitigated gall to hand their family a bill. We pay for results, not half-assed attempts.
