BTC wont ever be a global currency
Even if you ignore the colossal energy needed if were to be used by everyone
Transactions take about 10 mins at least, sometimes a hour +
You going to stand in a shop waiting about for 10 mins for your purchase to be athorised ?
Its an utter non starter
