Oh no! American's don't need more years in school. What they need is the basics taught the old fashion way and for their teachers to be competent. Plus get rid of social justice, Critical Race Theory and the LGBTQ+ stuff which is all nonsense and a waste of everyone's time. Especially when most students are still struggling to grasp the basics because they are so poorly taught. The last thing they need is to be taught how to masturbate or that they are crappy person for being born white. Cut out the bullshit and focus on the academics.

Biden states that we have a problem competing with the rest of the world. So, his "solution" to that is to have people waste the most productive years of their lives in more public education?

EDIT: I guess the 4 years he is talking about are 2 in public community college and 2 in pre-school. That is still not the solution we need. Subsidizing liberal arts degrees will get us nowhere.

Here's a much better solution for the problem - either minimize our dependency on other countries through gradually increasing tariffs that make it cheaper to produce goods in the country than import them from other countries, or get rid of ridiculous minimum wage hikes that ensure that it's cheaper to produce jobs in other countries. Without globalism, we would not need to compete with sweat shop labor in other countries.

Of course, we all know they are not seeking real solutions. The true reason why they want additional public education is because they want to inject even more of their venomous leftist ideology into the brains of people, at great expense to our country.

i left school in 1982. it was then a boys-only grammar school. i learnt lots of useful stuff there but as soon as i could (when i was sixteen) i skedaddled. a few years later the school went comprehensive (girls and boys) and went downhill thereafter.

First grade is usually 6 or 7 years old.

That means by the time you would start high school, you would have already gone to school as long as I did when I graduated. But you got 4 more years to go...

Not entirely. He spoke of 2 years of public community college, but he also talked of adding pre-school years starting at 3 or 4. That part does not make sense, as many kindergarteners already enter kindergarten at age 4.

It’s clear OBiden doesn’t envision a time where there will be enough jobs in this country, nor does he plan on doing anything about that. He’s carrying on Barry’s mindset of the jobs ‘never coming back.’ Even as hamstrung as Trump was, we saw in his four years that was just a lie.

So this plan, like most Left policies, kicks the can down the road. Now, entire generations will delay entry into the workforce, shortening their earning-potential years. It used to be a trade off, where higher education and shortening your earning years would be paid off by a HIGHER earning potential. Not with this plan.

This plan will turn an already pretty irrelevant Batchelors Degree into a totally irrelevant high school diploma. This, in turn, will make a Masters the new Batchelors, but without the earning potential that the Masters once had. Again, shrinking the earning years of a person by delaying their entry into the workforce by at least an extra two years, holding a degree worth less than what their parent’s generation’s once was.

If they think job requirements won’t ratchet up to the new level they want to create, they are terribly naive (or seriously evil.) I don’t think they fail to see the problems they’ll create. No, just the opposite…they’re counting on all sorts of new problems…ones that they can run on ‘fixing.’

Yeah, this is about 4 extra years of a special kind of indoctrination...the likes of a curriculum which we have never seen.

The truth, of course, is that KIDS DON'T REALLY NEED SCHOOL AT ALL. Reading, writing and arithmetic can be taught by parents who can then choose their own curriculum of what they think is best to teach their children. The "history" and "science" taught in school from day one is 75% fiction and therefore useless. Kids can certainly do without the cartoons encouraging trans and gender BS and "critical race theory" is downright disgusting.

We don't need to "compete" with anyone anywhere and neither do the children.

It breaks down to 2 more years of government funded public school for very young kids just starting school and then 2 years of government funded community college. And if the government is paying for that college it will also be controlling it. So it will be like two more years of high school indoctrination. Just in a different place.

When I was a young kid I went to an independent nursery school and when I graduated high school I attended an independent college for a little while. Neither were government funded nor controlled.

They want to ensure they're FULL FLEDGE eff'd up and dumbed down. If they can get them til they're 22... just think how permanent the indoctrination will be and how much harder it will be to undo.

Anyone familiar with the current "Education System' knows knowledge, critical thinking and personal empowerment is the complete opposite of what they're intending to provide for these students.
