Basically the US used Santa Ana to sell out the Mexican government to have Texas under their control.

Isn't all they teach is Texas history anyway?

Who cares. Spent 4 years in Texas highschool, and that's all I ever learned for history. No world history, no US history, just Texas history.

They should also teach about the First Independent Republic of Texas and the First President of Texas Gutierrez de Lara, who received his commission from Padre Hidalgo, and went on to carry a message to President Monroe before establishing independence for Texas.

i was taught texas history in middle school

high school had world history

they talked about all the normal stuff..

spanish conquistadors

slave ships

discovering the new world

the only thing i really remember is coming in last period and the girl in the previous class peed in her pants in the chair because the ass of a teacher would not let her go to the restroom

poor girls dad had committed suicide and burned down the house when she was a kid and had some issues

Stevie Ray Vaughan, ZZ Top, Eric Johnson, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings & Pantera should be taught in Texas History.
