My husband gets a beautiful dark tan, and me? I got skin cancer trying to match.
I’m an idiot. Red....peel....back to paste-y white.

Youngstown had steel mills.... could that be the reason? nah, Italians do great in the sun, both northern and southern Italians. Italians, Greeks, Spaniards, Portuguese, Macedonians, Albanians, Romanians, Bulgarians, Serbians, and Bosnians are all quite swarthy and tan very well. Germans, Belgians, Austrians, Swiss, British, Hungarians, Czechs, Slovakians, Ukrainians, and even a lot of Dutch can take some sun and tan some. Scandinavians though can't take the sun at all and then fire engine red within a few minutes of being in the sun.
