I'm still not convinced of flat earth but can't rule it out. I swear I've seen the curve of the earth when flying.

I definitely think we see what we want to see sometimes, even if it's not there.

Yes, it was an informative video.

I did not reject the "tartaria" conspiracy outright. I watched the vids. I did my homework.

And I came to the conclusion that it is unadulterated BULLSHIT.

Yes, there was a place on Western maps in north-Central Asia once marked "Tartaria." It was a kind of generic catchall term for "an unknown land in the far east that invaders like the Huns and Mongols come from." It's taken from some Latin word meaning "the mouth of Hell" or something similar because early map-makers and others thought the Mongols were literally deamons issuing out of the mouth of Hell.

There is a Russian sub-category ethnicity known as the "Tartars" that are people whose ancestors came originally from this part of the world.

As for all the buildings and architecture that is associated with this theory, most of it is simply old 19th century architecture. No big mystery.
