Two people died out in my friend's village here the other day, one day after taking their poison shots. His in-laws were supposed to get theirs but have since changed their minds.

Unlike in the west, neighbors here talk to each other. That whole village knew this had happened by afternoon and I'd be surprised if too many were lining up for the jab after that.

Who'd have thought it; a bunch a rice farmers with limited formal education are infinitely smarter than supposedly educated westerners?
