My neighbors little dog was killed by a rabies vax. The vet apparently talked him into having his dog get a new vax (when perfectly good rabies shots have been around for decades).
So what happened is it destroyed the dog's pancreas, causing diabetes, then blindness. I saw the poor blind dog walk into the side of the house one day. It was horribly sad. Then, the dog was dead.
Pro tip: Opossums don't carry rabies virus because their body temperature is too low for it to take hold. So, while they may not be cute, you don't have to be afraid of them (for the most part).
Quoting: Arlie27 Hope it stays that the Opossums are safe, but like the cats, the synthia changed them in the tests, and all the cats then were able to die from a wild flu virus that cats are typically immune to. Craig set loose a monster on the world.
