My neighbors little dog was killed by a rabies vax. The vet apparently talked him into having his dog get a new vax (when perfectly good rabies shots have been around for decades).

So what happened is it destroyed the dog's pancreas, causing diabetes, then blindness. I saw the poor blind dog walk into the side of the house one day. It was horribly sad. Then, the dog was dead.

Pro tip: Opossums don't carry rabies virus because their body temperature is too low for it to take hold. So, while they may not be cute, you don't have to be afraid of them (for the most part).

Hope it stays that the Opossums are safe, but like the cats, the synthia changed them in the tests, and all the cats then were able to die from a wild flu virus that cats are typically immune to.

Craig set loose a monster on the world.

Came home last night to a opossum in the back yard. It takes a couple steps, then falls over. Did this again and again. Finally died last night ...

No visible injuries / no foaming at the mouth.
Flies all over it.

Never seen that before. The animal had no fear of me, although I maintained a bit of distance and did not mess with it .. just observe.

I would treat that dead animal as a bio hazard and handle with care.
