Something my brother Joe wrote today...enjoy: As the minutes, hours, and days tick by, we reflect on the past, as it has moulded our present... And if you're here today, then our fathers have done their duty...literally and figuratively... They were not perfect. Not nearly... But neither were their fathers or grandfathers up the line...and neither are we...and we don't need to be... We just need to try. We need to stumble..and fall... And get back up. Again and again... Because we don't learn through perfection but through imperfect action... These are the lessons of life...as our fathers have shown us. Each of us is a product of our forefather's stumbling and picking themselves back up again... And we will continue as they have...falling and rising back up... Rinse and repeat.. It's our calling...it's our duty, as human beings...and as Fathers... Happy Father's Day to mine and to all of yours... Be Well  ...to lead... ...a proud Moodie... ...not perfect...just forgiven... ...all that truly matters in the end...is that you loved... |
