Since you are so learned answer me this...

1. Why does Atwill ignore what is said by Roman writers? Tacitus’ comment in Annals 15.44 places the origins of Christianity, and Roman reaction to it, nearly a decade before Titus’ final victory. Atwill says nothing at all about this critical passage; nor does he mention Pliny’s letter to Trajan asking what to do about Christians.

2. How can someone invent a story in the first century that mentions J_wish towns and provinces and expect J_ws to believe such stories? Early Christianity was mainly of J_wish adherents.

3. Why are there no J_wish literature from the second century mentioning such an invention? They would DEFINITELY write about it, if for no other reason then to keep other j_ws from falling into the trap of those dirty romans.

At least you are honest. that is great. But i can tell you that no oneresearched more than i did before i became a follower of the way (Christian). I have looked extensively into all of these theories, and none of them are true. they all fall apart under real scrutiny. The "Jesus Seminar" being the most famous of them all.

All of these myths are simply a satanic deception. Satan invents all sorts of reason to divert your attention away from the truth. this is just another one of those things. and so are most modern churches. You are on the right path but going the wrong way.

I dont need to know your heart. i am making a commentary on this thread. I can tell you are troubled by what Christianity is/has become so you are trying to reconcile that with what you believe. So you are correct to be disgusted by "modern Christianity", but you have channeled that disgust into a false direction that is easily debunked.
