It's frustrating because I know the questions are not coming from a place of actually wanting to know. These people have zero interest in learning and trying to expand their awareness.

The questions are designed to get me to admit that there are things I either can't answer, or that I simply have no answer for. That way, they can point to me and say, 'Haha look she doesn't know what she is talking about so she is a fake, a poser etc' and so on. The gotcha game makes them feel more secure.

You see, as a non Christian, I'm held to a completely different standard. You argue with a Christian and it almost always ends up with answers like, 'Well God's ways are not our ways', or 'we can't see the bigger picture', or 'God's ways are mysterious so you just have to take it on faith.'

The Christian can get away with that. People like me are never afforded that luxury. We have to have every answer in the bag ready to go.

It's almost as though, to these people, being a non christian obligates me to explain every reason why I am not. And every answer I don't get right just validates what they already believe.

But the truth is, no answer will ever be sufficient

A long time ago, there were many gods and many different people to enable them to come and go. Very rarely do they last a long time, so enjoy the ones here while we're alive this time around. The gods of the future won't have started as human.

I know what you mean. It's very true, massively hypocritical. One of the wisest answers to a question is: I don't know.
It's also one of the most honourable and truthful. Admitting a lack of knowledge or understanding is being real.

I respect other peoples ways, I can find areas of overlap, similarity or same with most. They may not be my ways, but I respect that they are their ways.
My stance with an individual changes if they and their ways are actively seeking to cause me or mine harm or be negative for their own gain.

It can be nice to be needed, it is infinitely better to be wanted as a friend for who you are, not what you can offer.

I hope in the future we've regressed(progressed back) to the point of understanding Godforms and energies associated are to be aspired to and examples of virtue, instead of personified, worshipped and fought over.

You might deserve a little time in the stockade. :P

When it comes to the Craft and the processes by which it works, I don't have all the answers. I never claimed to. There are things that I know and have felt and seen that simply can't be explained by science or explained in a way that the skeptic will believe or understand. People want proof before they will believe but the universe just doesn't operate in that way. You have to believe it to see it.

Just like the Christian can't scientifically explain why a blood sacrifice is needed for the remission of sin, or why a naked woman in a garden eating an apple causes the fall of humanity thereby instituting a generational curse, there are things that we just have to take on faith.

There are things I simply don't know. If I did there would be no reason for me to be here. Being a witch doesn't magically give me the answers to life's questions, or the mysteries of the universe. I can tell you what I believe to be true. I can tell you what I've seen, heard and experienced. I can give you theories on how this stuff works according to what I think.

But in the end, it all comes down to what you decide to believe. You can either believe me, or not. I can only tell you what I believe. But I know that mere words do not teach. Experience is the teacher. That is why I always say, don't blindly believe in me (or anyone else for that matter) But take what I say and test it. See for yourself because that is the only way you'll believe. By proving it to yourself and not by my words.

I will tell you that I don't have all of the answers. Anyone who claims that they do, is either lying to you, or is deluding themselves. I'm on a path seeking truth just like the rest of you.

The Craft doesn't give you answers. But it helps to open the door to help you find them for yourself. Nothing in this universe is just handed to you.

The one thing I will not do is pull answers out of my ass that I don't believe, or answers just to make myself look smart. To do so would dishonor myself and the Craft and that is something I will never do.

You know, I get on this thread and sometimes I let my hair down and act crazy, say stupid things to get a laugh and generally channel my inner retard. I think there is circus clown in my DNA.

But at the end of the day, and all of the nuttery is put aside, I'm a witch. I was born one, and I'll die as one. This is my life and what I do. And I take it very seriously. Even though I don't have all the answers to the big bad questions.

I will add only this; sometimes I will theorize, typically I will do this in the form of questions or state "I think", "I believe", "Possibly". Certain folks need to understand that theorizing is not stating fact and is part of spirituality. As you say, some things cannot be proven, until they can be - what's that line from Tesla...
