The one that doesn't really drink alcohol anymore, but did yesterday whilst watching the curse of Norm Smith get lifted.
There was (Corona) Beer, Guiness and Talisker Whiskey.



lol, no. I've known for many years that it's exactly what is desired to root out the agitators and provocateurs in society. There's always been a better way - still quite proud of (most) people for not flipping out and going on violent rampages and rioting. Always irritates me to see someone promoting or encouraging violent demonstrations, or destroying property etc.

Trinity would be very proud of you. He regularly impresses that viewpoint on the forum.

Curse of Norm Smith: The coach of the Melbourne Football Club after winning the 1964 Grand Final was fired by the club. He stated that: "This club will never win another flag".

Multiple since something strange appeared to cause the failure.
Additionally it should be noted that the medal for best player in the Grand Final became named "The Norm Smith Medal" after the legend. Which I think only fueled his curse.

Interestingly, Ben Brown, one of the players at the club did a cleansing ritual half way through the season with his "weird hippy partner" (read: witch) on himself. His game improved significantly.
This week before the Grand Final he did a cleansing on the entire club.

"Sports Shamanism" is something I've had theories about, the curses on clubs, bad juju at one end of the ground, etc.
Anyway. Interesting stuff. :)

Note: I myself declared the curse was lifted pre-game during the big build up TV where they did a full rundown with spooky music.
Admittedly I have been putting a wee bit of energy out there... highest goal kicker in the game: number 31, with 6 :D

It's been obvious to meI have had my suspicions for so long. I always get a little nervy when I see "far right extremist" stuff being blamed and hope that no silly neo nazi gets all crazy and "proves their point".

Meanwhile, "antifa" types, liberal left "anarchists"; they've exposed themselves pretty well in Melbourne this past week.
It was even on mainstream news, references to "who are these people causing the damage and disgusting acts?", etc.

It's hard to see it when you're on it..seriously, the clouds hang out between the path and the top. There are a few cat memorials when I visited. They were sweet little potteries people had left remembrances of their pets. Yet, one must pass over musical road...i can share.

The ring of fire is becoming more active. I forget the exact number right off the top of my head, but many volcanoes in the ring are becoming more active. Mt Fugi is in the ring as well. There is another volcano close to Mt Fuji which is venting right now.

Add to that, that Mt Fuji has been dormant for over 300 years so it's overdue.

GLP is Doom Central. It has been for over 20 years.

We discussed this earlier in the thread.

Now it appears G-Dub has become infected with Doomitis.

Perhaps it’s time to step away from the forum and attend a 12-step Doomers Anonymous program...?

Ok I admit that being on glp may have influenced me a tiny bit in being a doomer.

But look around you!

Ring of fire and volcano doom. Earthquakes. The Covidpocalypse. Coming war with Russia/China/Iran and God only knows who else.
Race War. Holy War. Class War. Gender Wars. Robot Wars. The Zombie Uprising (which I just bought a new shotgun for)
And who knows. Maybe the Christians are right and I'll have to fist fight Jesus on the fields of armageddon as he drags me to hell. Cats and dogs living together.

Point is, you can never be overprepared.

But, I have my bunker and my two loyal attack cats to protect me.

I own one of her books, this was randomly posted elsewhere and seems a good read. Reaffirms a lot of what I know/learned already, always good to have that though. Some other interesting tidbits as well.

Excerpt 1:
