Jera is all about the cycle, proper timing, correct actions within a cycle and thus a good harvest (at the end of a cycle). It also represents peace within ourselves and peace on the land. You could say it's a little bit like when you do something right, people won't know you did anything at all ;P
Do the correct thing at the correct time and all will be peaceful and as it should be.

The shape of the rune itself can be viewed as representing a cycle. Imagine it spinning clockwise around it's center point.
I have some thoughts regarding this and the world serpent which are perhaps too in depth for here but in short, think in terms of Jormungand being wrapped around the world, alike to the ouroboros and symbolizing time, the cycle, etc.
When considering this you can then consider the rune looks similar to the visible parts of a snake entwined around a trunk, branch, shaft, sword (see avatar).
This relates of course to progress as mentioned in the card details, time will go on, progressing as always; so do the right thing when the time presents itself and a good yield will come of it.

As always, context matters. Jera may symbolize simply "a year" or it may represent an infinite cycle or some other form of cycle, possibly one a person is stuck in (that needs well timed correct actions).

I noticed a couple hints in the last couple bigger posts...or at least some things that could hypothetically apply also to my current human dilemma lol mainly isa, mannaz, and jerha....interestingly on isa, especially, It's been icy where I'm at and ive noticed all my base numbers are imbalanced and my mentality just seems stuck :/ waah.

Ihwaz represents the central axis point of the upper and lower worlds meeting. This is not as some may think 'as above; so below', rather the point where there are 'none above; none below'. Thus it fits well with it also representing spiritual becoming, initiation and a move toward enlightenment.

Perhaps in this way it also makes sense of why it can represent endurance. To remain impartial, unbiased, neutral spiritually, to not yourself better nor others lesser, yet to also recognize that there are these states of upper and lower worlds. This is difficult and requires endurance.
Pairing with the concepts of spiritual becoming, initiation and enlightenment is secrecy, encoding and immortality. Perhaps an appropriate rune regarding certain folks hereabouts :P

Anyway, the recognition of equality amongst ourselves as an early step in an initiatory process toward enlightenment seems appropriate.

Just some ponderings anywho.
