Ok to be fair, some vegetarian stuff is ok. But some things should just never exist. Like veggie hot dogs.
 Quoting: Green Witch

What are your thoughts on veggie bacon and veggie hamburgers ?

hiding
 Quoting: Seekingtruthandhonor

I can tolerate the veggie bacon. Tolerate lol

But no to the tofu/veggie/soy burgers.
 Quoting: Green Witch

These burgers I have now are not made of soy or veggie or anything it’s a plant protein. It sizzles on the grill. It’s actually great.

But a lot of veggie burgers are full of crap and aren’t healthy
 Quoting: Seekingtruthandhonor

Yep. You really have to look at the packaging and ingredients. A lot of the 'healthy' or 'organic' or 'vegetarian' stuff has a ton of crap in it. I'd rather take my chances with burger king lol

Veggie Hot dogs. No bro. Just....no.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

Lol veggie shaming! Hahah. You!

I’m trying to lose some weight and make my blood work better.

Every time I go vegtarian I always feel more clarity and my blood work is good and I lose weight

But I’m not a crazy veggie person if my body needs some meat I eat it
 Quoting: Seekingtruthandhonor

All in moderation. Eat meat but also your veggies. You need both. It's when you trade one for the other that causes problems.

So go ahead and eat your disgusting veggie weiners.

But follow it with a T Bone Chaser.

A lot people act surprised when they find out that I'm not a vegetarian.

But you are a witch. Isn't eating vegetarian a more enlightened philosophy?

I'm also a pagan. I realize that we're part of the natural cycle of life on this planet. We eat, then we die and other critters snack on us.

The hunting and killing and eating of meat is a spiritual act. And one I take seriously.

I remember a few weeks ago maybe months now but you said you were hanging out with a bunch of witches and they kind of gave you grief for eating meat.

And you explained to them in a nice way your opinion on the matter. Based on what you said, I believe you handled it perfectly .

Also:
about veggie being an enlightened philosophy . You can know truth whether you eat meat or don’t eat meat. It’s what goes out from our mouths that matter.. It’s how we treat others that matter. You can do these things with or without meat. So those who say they are higher moral ground because no meat just need to be quiet.

I deal with a lot of new age Christians you can say who are like bro Jesus didn’t eat meat. He was vegan. Etc.

And while the Bible doesn’t say he had lamb at Passover, it does say he had fish with his disciples after coming back from the dead. He wasn’t like oh guys make me a 5 veggie stew. He says I need to eat let’s cook this fish

You mentioned hot dogs the other day

Seems to be a staple for you :)

I used to eat hot dogs and brats every week LOL

Anyways

I’m vegetarian right now so I found these veggie hot dogs a few months ago . Actually pretty darn good. Maybe I told you this already. But with relish and mustard and ketchup and peppers. Can’t tell the difference !
 Quoting: Seekingtruthandhonor

Get out.
 Quoting: Green Witch

Get out because veggie hot dog

Or get out because ketchup on a hot dog ?
 Quoting: Seekingtruthandhonor

Haha, not something I personally buy actually. But someone here enjoys with few condiments. I am no great fan of ol' snouts n hoof sosig, but with the addition of sauces, relishes, additional things and occasionally extra stuff - I consume with gusto.

I'd do the same with a vegetarian hotdog and the result would probably be as you say; can't tell the difference.

But you are probably going to a special reserved location in small corner room of a niche hell realm for purchasing such a thing by choice. :P
Coz reasons, probably.

Veggie Hot dogs. No bro. Just....no.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

chuckle
 Quoting: Green Witch

Lol veggie shaming! Hahah. You!

I’m trying to lose some weight and make my blood work better.

Every time I go vegtarian I always feel more clarity and my blood work is good and I lose weight

But I’m not a crazy veggie person if my body needs some meat I eat it
 Quoting: Seekingtruthandhonor

All in moderation. Eat meat but also your veggies. You need both. It's when you trade one for the other that causes problems.

So go ahead and eat your disgusting veggie weiners.

But follow it with a T Bone Chaser.

:D

I have a feeling STaH doesn't partake in pudding very often.
At least, he shouldn't. How could he!?

I am about to eat some pudding right now !

But maybe pudding means something different than I’m realizing ?

Like rice pudding . Thick. Tasty. Yum.
I will dwell in you. And you in me. And I will walk with my people .

Re: The Witch's Corner
I have never had to take an animals life to eat.

So I don’t know what that is like. But it must be very humbling and as you said profoundly spiritual . If you have that mentality that is. Probably scary and maybe even upsetting at times ? (Forgive me if I’m wrong)

When I do eat meat I try to be thankful to the animal that is sustaining me. I often wonder from a spiritual standpoint if we by consuming the dead animal bring it’s life back to it. I don’t know just some thoughts I have had
 Quoting: Seekingtruthandhonor

It is.

Very humbling and deeply rewarding and it gives you an appreciation for life and the grand scheme of things. Knowing that that animal gave it's life so that you might eat.

I think everyone who eats meat, especially if you buy it from the grocery store should go get their own at least once.
 Quoting: Green Witch

In a non survival situation, I will be honest, I don’t know if I could do it.

If there was pure chaos and all things broke down I probably would have to take a deers life or squirrel to keep going.

But I’m not sure even then…

There’s no such thing as a vegan !
