I believe we all have certain gifts and are capable of using magick. I think some are more predisposed to it however but not from heredity. I think it's more due to being born into a family that believes in or already has a tradition thats been passed down. The child never learned to doubt or disbelieve and saw others using the Craft and therefore had no problems integrating it into their lives

I personally was born into a tradition called Green Serpent Witchcraft that had been passed down from mother to daughter and father to son going back to the 1700s. The name usually weirds people out but it has nothing to do with Satan. The serpent represents seeking knowledge and bettering the self. It also represents that knowledge, while neutral can be a double edged sword. The Serpent's Fangs. It also represents rebellion against those who would seek to control people through fear and control of the mind.

Oh good lord no. I love a good steak as much as the next person. I'm definitely not vegan. It's not natural. We may practice magick, but we're still humans and we're still a part of the cycle.

If that is her choice though I doubt you'll find many 'submissive' witches. That's almost a contradiction in terms.

I've been a practicing witch a little bit longer than I've been vegan. So I'm sorry to see that you think it is unnatural op. :(
To my perspective, "do no harm" is a big part of my spirituality, and eating animals tortured in factory farms or in science experiments is definitely doing harm.

I try to eat organic when I can and yes I'm concerned about factory farms as well. But realize that while we have reverence for nature and are the stewards of the planet, we're still a part of nature and not above it. Life, death, rebirth are all a part of the grand cycle. We're meant to consume. I'm also an avid bow hunter. I eat absolutely everything I kill and I have appreciation for every life given so that I might eat.

I guess I'm more pagan in that regard.

Do no harm. I struggle with that sometimes. That goes more along with the Wiccan Rede and as you now by now, I'm not Wiccan. Sometimes you have to cause harm. To defend yourself, your family. To eat. It also implies a moral judgement where I dont think there is any. Your actions come back to you. Good and bad. I dont think there is any moral judgement behind that.

As a Christian, I'm something of a Green Witch myself in a manner of speaking.

Anton LaVey was a character. He was right in the fact that modern witches and wiccans don't want to be associated with Satanism. Who does?

Where I disagree is that we all feel the need to denigrate each other over our beliefs. He was referring to modern wicca and reconstructionist witches looking down their noses at Satanism.

I see it as a valid path for some people if that is what they choose. Personally I don't know why you would want to go down such a dark path, but that's just me.
