Hello. My name is Aven, also known as the Green Witch. I've been on GLP for awhile now but I've rarely posted.
I'm starting a Witch/Pagan/Wiccan thread so those of us who practice the Craft can have a place to hang out and discuss topics relevant to us. I feel like this place needs a counterbalance to the Christian posts which now seem to dominate.
This isn't a pagan exclusive thread. We welcome all who wish to participate, With respect, I ask that there be no personal attacks, no trying to convert us to your faith, and no preaching about condemning us to eternal hellfire.
GLP has many neopagans, wiccans, witches and other non Christian folk who I feel have been sidelined. I'd like to have a place where we can talk, discuss and have fun without all the hate and bitterness.
To all the Christians. You are most welcome here but I would ask you to be tolerant of other's faiths and beliefs as you would have us be of yours.
I want this to be an open, friendly place with no bashing of faiths. That goes for bashing the Christian faith as well.
Now with that out of the way, witches, lets ride!
Quoting: Green Witch All forms of "magic", whatever you decide to call yourself, (a witch, magician, wizard, whatever), are enabled via the effective usage of your indigo-ray vibratory center located in your forehead which is also called the third eye or chakra.
This is used in conjunction with one's ability to co-ordinate with and request useful assistance from the various millions of entities which inhabit this planet's astral planes.
You could use your third eye to literally levitate on a broomstick and fly through the air if that was your fancy.
The indigo is extraordinarily difficult to open and use effectively. It requires a total balance of all the other energy centers. This requires dedication, self-sacrifice and the ability to both know and love the self, as well as give and receive love to others.
Very few humans possess the ability to do it, which is why most will never believe in or understand that workings of a magical nature are possible. But every single one of them *could* use it if they learned how to do it and made that commitment to opening their third eye.

Thank you. Unfortunately I learned as quickly as I did for two reasons:
1. I was born with a natural ability to open and use the indigo right out of the gate.
2. I was targeted by a gang of black magic using self-serving occultists. Their intention was to ruin my life and try to goad me into committing suicide.
The only reason I even survived this long is thanks to my abilities.
But all of us who are born with this ability ultimately come to know of it through some form of catalyst, so in a way it was a blessing in disguise.
The one who was once known as Christ also came to realize his abilities through a traumatic experience. When he was a young boy, he was playing one day and became angry with a playmate. Jesus touched this entity and the other child was instantly killed. It was at this moment that he became aware that there dwelt in him a terrible power.
After this incident, he resolved that he would find the truth about himself and atone for what he had done.
At the end of his incarnation, Jesus was absolved of the karma related to this action when on the cross he spoke the words, "Forgive them father, for they know not what they do." For it is forgiveness that stops the wheel of karma from turning forever and ever.
Jesus was born with it, and just look at the impact he had on world history. Unfortunately his teachings were taken out of context and used as a control mechanism. This was not intended, but on the flip side there are still many who have benefited from his message of universal and unconditional love - which was his mission.
I have a tremendous respect for those who have followed this path without being born with the ability to use such powers on day one, as they have a far harder time due to the amount of dedication that is required.
