Do you have any non clothing items that you put on when doing a working, jewelry maybe? Or some type of "game time" ritual/habit/switch flip that gets you in the zone?

I used to change a ring from one hand to the other and say some words in my head. A name actually.

It really depends on what I'm doing and trying to accomplish. If it's just a simple candle spell or ritual or petition, then I won't wear anything of any special importance. I do have talismans, amulets, a few protection rings and a few other items. Mostly worn for protection.

When I'm doing traditional spellwork I'll sometimes wear my snake pendant to honor my ancestors. It also aids in healing and energy work.

*nods* So no specific thing that you utilize to bring yourself in to the mindset, going from Claven Kent to Superaven, so to speak. Cool cool. :)
When it is who you truly are, a witch at all times, no need!

I try to meditate before every spell or working. Notice I said 'try' because with a busy schedule it's not always possible

The length and type of meditation I'll do depends on the task at hand. The more complex the working, the longer the meditation.

Mostly it's simple deep breath meditation. Sometimes with music, candles and incense. All of my meditations include grounding, centering and shielding.

Ah ok, so there is something that you do that is a habitual precursor to getting to work. That definitely fits but is entirely in the mind opposed to utilizing something physically.
Beyond serving the purpose of clearing the mind, grounding, centering and raising shields (before firing phasers) - I assume there's a sense of 'ready now' psychologically when you finish the meditation. Perhaps more importantly, is there a specific, always utilized, end point to the meditation? ie. Gong, Bell, Serpent Hiss, Cackle, Backflip, or other symbolic 'meditation is now over' action/noise/visual/prayer/phrase/etc.

I hope I'm not intruding too much on the things you can't speak on. Just trying to discuss this stuff as it's a common thing in spirituality to start and end 'things' with a symbolic act/word/noise... you get the idea :P
