Yeah, even if he did what they claim and they can prove it, you can't just shoot the fucker. What DID justify the shooting is when the perp wrestled for the gun. The question is going to be were the homeowners committing a felony assault with a deadly weapon just by aiming pistols at the perp and if they were the whole blame is on them. Could be. and if they ere the perp suddenly is the victim and can himself use force to defend himself.
It is important for people who carry to remember that the fact you see a crime being committed does not give you a right to draw your gun necessarily,it has to be a deadly force situation and these are extremely rare.


He would have to try to enter the house, or actually commit some violent crime. Playing with himself is not a shoot on sight offense, though I can understand how a father would be upset by it.
