Many people use to say 'no one knows the day or the hour' (Mat 24:36) to talk about Christ's return.


But he actually gave us enough clues, especially in the Book of Revelation coming AFTER his Ascension AND Matthew 24 where this truncated sentence comes from, to know when, with a short period of uncertainty. To know you have to read far more than a sentence out of its context.


Matthew 24:42-44

Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.


How could you be ready if you don't know when to prepare? This is an oxymoron. Christ would NEVER say such a contradiction.

First, these verses speak about the HOUR. Why would Christ talk about a precise period in a whole day if people couldn't know THAT day? If one didn't know the year he wouldnt' talk about such a time scale.

Besides, the CONTEXT of the 'no one knows the day OR the hour' is ABOVE this truncated sentence!

That context is here, JUST AFTER HE CAME TO DEFEAT THE ANTICHRIST, THE TIMING OF WHOM IS KNOWN SINCE EVERYONE WILL KNOW HIM, AND ONCE THE GREAT DISTRESS IS PASSED TO CUT SHORT THESE DAYS (above in Matthew 24).


2 Thessalonians 2:8 'And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming'.


So, Christ is already here when what follows takes place:

Since when (?), actually, is the good question. Below this is HIS coming AS 'Christ in his Ministry', NOT his presence on earth. Note the steps in bold:


Matthew 24:29-31 “Immediately after the distress of those days “‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’

“Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.

And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.


HERE, we see that this is his angels, ACTUALLY, that proceed to the rapture, not Christ himself the chosen ones will meet in MID-AIR! So, when he says he is coming as the Son of Man this is a figure of speech.


Matthew 24:32-33 “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near.

Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door.


HERE, we see that he doesn't say 'I AM near'. Remember that HE ALREADY SAID 'I AM HERE' in the 7th letter to the 7th church BEFORE the End Times start.


Rev 3:20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.


HERE he talks about the future Two Witnesses, his future earthly parents, who heard his voice these past years.

Let's go on with Matthew 24:


Matthew 24:34-36 Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.


'Day or hour' are related to the rapture itself, for each chosen one who MUST CHOOSE ONE'S FATE BEFORE ANY DATE COULD BE DECIDED, in the period of the 'Day of the Lord' which happens to be 7 years long as already proved and explained (shmita law for the harvesting) the same way a 'Day of God' is 1,001 years long, NOT CHRIST'S RETURN!


Another evidence? Read Luke 17:

22-23 Then he said to his disciples, “The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it.

People will tell you, ‘There he is!’ or ‘Here he is!’ Do not go running off after them.


This resembles Christ's words in Matthew 24 for the End Times, isn't it? THIS MEANS THAT 'ONE OF THE DAYS' of the Son of Man - 7 years long - will be before what follows.

And Christ doesn't want his new family in the remote future to be bothered, hence 'do not go running off after...' those telling 'there he is'. He doesn't say 'it's false'. He just say 'let them alone':


Luke 17:24-25 For the Son of Man in his day will be like the lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other.

But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.



Christ takes the time to highlight the very fact that 'one of the days of the Son of Man' is AFTER HIS DEATH...in the remote future (since he now didn't appear yet as Christ until the coming days as the White Horseman, the male child who will go to God and to his throne to then come back to rule all the nations with a rod of iron).

Why 'one of the days of the Son of man' (meaning the scale of one of his days, aka 7 years) is not 'HIS' day?

Because it is those of The Two Witnesses and the antichrist (3.5 + 3.5 = 7 years)...before HIS Ministry in the remote future for the rapture...7 years long...before the 7 plagues.
