i'm chilling in Oldsmar right now waiting for the storm, so far nothing but a drizzle and some clouds

Also old pine trees. There's a dead pine just on the my neighbor's side of the property line. It's dropped three large branches on my property in the last month. It could be bad for either house if it fell. Fortunately for me it's leaning slightly in his direction.

It's been fun watching everyone freak. I saw a guy in a f250 filling like 5 empty Coleman lantern fuel cans with gasoline. That the best one for me this season so far.

If that be the case. It's gonna be fun. I wonder what's gonna wash up.

Weirdest pre- storm ever. Not a puff of breeze coastal Daytona. I have been through ten hurricanes here. This is bizarre.

By now we should have gusts at 20 mph. We have nada.

It wouldn't hurt to add a webbing strap to the tree as high as easily attached, to a ground anchor, and direct the tree to where you want it to go, rather than leave it to chance where it will go.

It's a messed up storm I can tell you that much.

The amount of water we've gotten here has been exceedingly high the last few days. Way more than before a system moves through.

One's aloud to hope right?

We lived down there in the late 70s to late eighties. Had many a Hurricane party.

I didn't realize it was already in the Gulf.

It's supposed to be a gift for the drought stricken West Coast.

Pasco here. We anticipating a nice calm baby hurricane. Hopefully power doesn't go out for too long.

North of Tampa here and close to the track for the turn to the east. We're just doing the usual prep stuff. Timing is not great for high tide and storm surge. The gulf is 2.5 blocks from us and there is a tidal pond at the end of our road. We expect standing water/flooding in the yard but not much more than that. We're fortunate that we're tied in to the main road power so if we lose power, it won't be for long.

Just some light rain right now with very little wind but we expect that to change as it gets later. I plan to have a beer or 2 and some popcorn and watch the action.

Thoughts and well wishes for all who have been and will be impacted!

Pinellas here too. We’re about 3 miles inland. Thinking it’ll all be ok though, we’ve been spared many many times before.

We’re under a hurricane warning right now in Pinellas. It’s now expected to reach 75+ just before landfall.

We always go to the beach after hurricanes. 2-3 years ago we found a dead bullshark on honeymoon island. This will be fun lol.

I think we’re going to be ok, for whatever reason were always ok (knock on wood).

I'm waiting for the chemical weapons in the gulf the wash ashore one day.
