Manson told Danny and his pals that he had hypnotic powers that "could get us high." The actor and his crew gave it a shot, as they were in jail with nothing else to do.

"It was like a guided meditation," he wrote, but it worked. Manson, according to Danny, had the group believing they were smoking marijuana and then taking heroin. Of course they weren't, as it was Manson convincing them of the drug usage with his words alone.

"By the time he described it hitting my bloodstream, I felt the warmth flowing through my body," Danny recalled. "If that white boy wasn't a career criminal, he could have been a professional hypnotist."


Danny Trejo is detailing an encounter he had with Charles Manson in his new memoir.

In his book "Trejo," the "Machete" star said he met the infamous criminal in Los Angeles County Jail in 1961. Upon sight, Danny wasn't exactly impressed, saying Manson was "greasy, dirty, scrawny" and "so poor, he didn't have a belt, and instead used a piece of string to keep his pants up."
