Three books to always have on hand
I'd like to get GLP's take on what three books should always be with you.

For a long time my list was:

1. RSV version of the Bible
2. The Herb Book by John Lust
3. US Navy Corpsman's Manual from 1939

I'm just going through those books again and remembering why they were so good to have.

Number 1 should be replaced with Young’s Literal Translation.

I actually like Young's translation, I just prefer RSV for some reason.

Young tells what the words mean. Not what he thinks they mean…. That is up to the reader.
