I mean these are people that literally sell web service platform AWS.... we in big trouble if they get hacked. A handful of times. Aws has gone down too. |

Quoting: Keilani 2 hours would be tens of millions. That person lied obviously. Amazon would never give an ETA. But it went down for less than an hour once around 2014 and it was millions. Yeah, I thought it was weird that they got any ETA, maybe the CS rep was going against the rules and talking out of his arse to be a big shot or just get her off the phone though. |

There's no telling what is going on when a site is having issues and we will likely never know for sure. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80572479 That's actually a pretty good idea. Honestly, even if it goes up today, I might wait a few days until I order again. |

It's been down for a little over an hour now, so that's about $48 million lost so far assuming those buyers don't just wait and buy their products later tonight or tomorrow instead (which most probably will). Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80572479 Wow, that's some crazy cash. A lot of people might buy later, but corporate wise they're still going to look at it as a loss, because people like me are just going to be like, nah, didn't need it that bad anyways. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80572479 that's revenue, though. most of that will be a delayed sale, not a loss. |
