So they didn't drain just Oroville,
1, gotta remember PGE owns all of this stuff.

2. Draining Oroville wouldn't have been such a huge deal if they hadn't opened all the other power dams along the feather river, draining lower bucks lake, draining 3 lakes up near the Pacific crest trail.
They as in officials kept telling everyone it was in anticipation of major rain storms, so we wouldn't have to worry about floods.
Everyone here in plumas county is pissed .....there's almost no standing pools of water in the creeks and rivers which means we are fucked once the bell hueys can no longer dip their bivy buckets in.

The Oroville Spillway emergency in California may have one silver — or gold — lining: The debris kicked up by weeks of heavy rain and runoff is now flecked with gold, and amateur gold panners are enjoying quite the bonanza.

The "gold rush" is occurring along the Feather and Yuba rivers, which are fed by the Oroville Dam. Of course, would-be panners should take note: It's unlikely that panners will hit the jackpot and retire with steamer trunks full of gold bars; the average haul from panning the river lately is worth just $40 to $300, CBS5 reported.

The Oroville Dam is right by Paradise. I know because I used to take the train there in the summer, before the dam.

I read in the article I cannot mention from the Oroville Mercury newspaper (banned for some reason here) that Oroville, before the dam was a huge pile of tailings from the Gold Rush. That is what they used to make the earthen dam!

People need to take responsibility for their own resources and leave areas that are so heavily controlled and not meant to have so many habitants in the first place. Once the people leave there is nothing for the government to control.

That was 2017 that it overflowed. We've been in a drought ever since.

Lake Shasta is pretty damn low now as well.

I read in the comments in the video^^ they vacuumed the spillway before they repaired it.

why do you think they were vacuuming the spillway before repairs.. i told yall this 2 years ago.. the ONLY reason you VACUUM it is for valuables.. yall just thought they were being super clean ahahah
