After the failure of CIA/MI6 backing student riots in Hong Kong, the Chinese bioweapon attack in response, the new Chinese national security law seizing all of Hong Kong(including the majority of international drug money which is used to bribe politicians the world over), and the droning of Soleimani, we are in the quiet phase of WWIII. Governments deny it, media won't talk about it, and people mostly won't believe it.

During this quiet phase, Governments are doing all the stuff you'd do if a big hot war was inevitable and sometime in the next few years. Troop movements? How about an Afghanistan exist, because troops in Afghanistan would be in harm's way and hard to defend if/when a hot war with China began. Supply shortages? Is that governments stockpiling?

Is that next phase now truly inevitable? Couldn't say from where I sit. But either way, we're in a quiet phase of final preparations, quiet build up, quiet stockpiling, etc. Maybe it is still avoidable, but they are doing things to get all their ducks in a row before the shocking first hot war part begins.

Something about the tests the Navy is doing in Florida are things they'd like to know before WWIII goes into that first big hot phase.

Rather than something to do with an invasion of Florida, I would assume it was something to do with fighting the Chinese over Taiwan. They want to be able to do precise calculations for particular types of mines or anti-sub bombs or something like that. The 'on paper' numbers aren't good enough and they want a variety of real world data, so they can always make a precise calculation, perhaps so that they use these bombs/mines/explosives as efficiently as possible.

During the first hot phase, the full nuclear exchange will probably not begin. Everyone will make a fast grab for things and/or try to hold on to things...olly olly oxen free. The main thing is that China will try to grab Taiwan and then ask for peace once they have it to avoid the full nuclear exchange.

Like so many 'easy' and 'fast' war plans, I think that will ultimately fail and things will get messy. I do think they will get Taiwan and everyone will agree to peace to avoid the full nuclear war, but that ensuing peace will not last. The second 'quiet' phase would be very tense, as the world braces for the full nuclear exchange.
