Because this is simple a ship going through sea trials to recommission the ship full mission capable. Every ship coming out of dry dock or retrofit at Naval Station Mayport must go through these trails.

For those that don't know, all ships prior to debarking for a time period of 90 days or more must perform sea trails. All the area past the horizon from Kings Bay to the Naval Station in Key West including AUTEC and all the way south to GITMO is historically open for sea trials. This is public knowledge, as in the whole world knows. We know where they do theirs.

During these trials live ordinance must be used to verify full mission capability to safeguard you.
