im so curious to see the prices of VGB and SOLO after the airdrops/snapshots etc.

latenightgrind reckons it could follow solana pricing on Vagabond for the near future.

Ill be keeping mine and loading solo

It's absolutely possible. That's not a bad strat. I wonder when they plan to ICO. That would certainly have something to do with it for me. After the AD, it could act like I anticipate Solo to, possible exchange it, wait for the bottom, then re-enter.

December/January will be exciting and I'm looking forward to hearing how everyone goes about their business. Hopefully early next year the lawsuit finishes and things truly begin.

Edit:

I've also learned you can follow these steps to find your position on any trustline:

1 - goto xrpscan.com
2 - Get the address of the ISSUER, search in upper left.
3 - Once loaded, click on "Trustlines" in the middle.
4 - BE PATIENT. Lots of data loading, had to tell browser to "wait" twice before data loaded.
5 - CTRL-F and search for YOUR WALLET ADDRESS.

The number next to your address is your place in line.

Looks like xrplstatus.com automates this process a little bit for you.

99.9999% chance you're in. I foresee them weeding out 80-100K addresses. The amount of people that set the trustline but didn't fill out the form is mind boggling. Twitter is endless rants of people bitching and moaning how they never knew to fill out the form and they are screwed.

Now combine that with how many bots they are weeding out, and how many wallets won't have 1000 XRP and I feel like even T Man at position 116000 has a real good chance.

So if there is a total lack of liquidity how are thousands of airdrop holders going to sell their coins after the airdrop?
Where will you find the thousands of buyers ready to buy the coins off you and pay you 30 bucks a piece?

ofc i may sell the solo before the snapshot and buy them on the dip. I reckon you may get more for the money that way. Either way will be interesting. Both tokens have a promising future

It depends on when they go live with the coin. Obviously if there's no market to sell into, you're stuck with what you have.

For me I wasn't going to sell my coins but instead exchange through Xumm for Solo.

There's an order book full of buyers.

Basic trading:
(A) - Apple
(B) - Banana
(C) - Canteloupe

You have (A) and want (C).
(C) doesn't want any (A).
You cannot trade your (A) for (C).
(C) DOES want (B).
(B) does NOT want (C).
(B) DOES want (A).
This is where (A) trades for (B), then uses (B) to get his (C).
Everybody wins.

I think some people refer to it as a "free market/economy" where supply & demand rules. :)

There's always someone who will buy, just maybe not at the price YOU want.

Nope, the Sologenic Dex is very stable. Probably the poster who made the complaint had issues with his PC.

Xumm isn't allowing XRP to SOLO transfers right now.

"The price difference between buying and selling offers is too high".

Xumm doesn't allow screenshots of their app otherwise I'd post it.

This will be most interesting because it seems nothing moves XRP anymore. It will take a massive shift to do so.

So this is actually an ominous sign. I cannot exchange in either direction. If this is the case now, what happens during the Solo airdrop where the amount of users is magnified greatly?

I'm going to see how long this takes for them to let me exchange but this is not good.

I've had that happen to me.

It's trying to warn you:
"Hey, if you swap XRP->SOLO, you won't be able to swap back from SOLO->XRP at a fair rate."

Basically saying there's a big gap between the buy/sell walls.

Reading completely, I think it says something like:
"If you INSIST on still doing this trade, you'll need to use the DEX" (Decentralized Exchange).

The DEX is behind the xApp button as "DEX Trade" with a green plus sign.

However, the warning is legit. Please be careful.

It won't let you swap at all. It says you can use Xumm's third party tool (the DEX like you said) to create a limit order right now. I couldn't even do it if I wanted to through the app.

I definitely understand the gap of buy/sell walls. I'm actually not considered about this right now as I was only going to flip the 1000 XRP I had in there for the airdrop into Solo.

What I am concerned about is this happening during the Solo airdrop. When the snapshot happens the price will crash hard. If you can't flip your coins you have a strong chance of losing your ass. I refuse to let that happen hence why I see this as a potential dry run of what is to come.

I actually just tried to flip 10 XRP on the Dex and it timed me out after 40 seconds.

ETA: now it's saying transaction declined, que to large, insufficient fee.

Glad I'm learning this now because I'd be freaking out if this was Christmas Eve.

You'd think that "decentralized" would be better in response.

For me, this tells me just holding and not trying to play the swappy-swap game is safer.

More profitable? Probably not... But definitely safer. lol

I really thought it would be as well considering how fast the ledger moves. I'm wondering if there is a place such as exodus that you can send the solo moments after the exchange and then swap for XRP.

Maybe it's the Xumm app on your phone?
I had loading/timing issues an hour ago with the xApps.

I force closed Xumm, opened another app, waited 15-20 mins, then opened Xumm again. Tried just now and everything is smooth again.

I actually tried that. The app is smooth, it won't let me exchange for the same reason as mentioned before. The Dex says the que is full and won't let me do anything about it. Still this isn't the end of the world or anything, I'm taking it as a learning lesson and plan on getting in touch with Xumm to hear their side of this and what they expect for the Solo drop.
