Re: The XRP Investor Thread
If I wanted to provide someone a good summary of what XRP is, what makes it unique, and a good summary of the SEC case, can anyone suggest anything particular that does a good job of tying it all together for them to read/view?

This is from a guy I like, he's definitely an XRP guy, he started this tutorial series for "new to crypto"

This is the first one in his new series, linking to the playlist, he also has started a "Why XRP" series, if you go to his channel

Clearly our man has inside knowledge. The King just released an article one hour ago stating 2 nations are a threat to an Open Society....and AI is a tool that has assisted "totalitarian regimes."
Hey that nickname is mine.

We know who is front and center at Davos '22
BG from Ripple and the ENTIRE SDF contingent led by Jed.
Once again is it a coincidence Ripple started as OPENCOIN and M--- and Thiel started OPENAI...Maybe?
As stated from the beginning the new system will be federated, partitioned by design. The appearance of competition and opposition pushes the narrative. Currency Wars with everyone playing a role.

capricorn?!

nice website! good service
 Quoting: T-Man

Are you asking if my sun sign is Capricorn? You lost me chuckle

But yeah, that start.me site makes it easy to organize information, I use it a lot, for lots of different things, just for myself.
 Quoting: Vision Thing

sun sign, zodiac. yea :D

you know what i NEVER understood
NEVER??

google is the home page for so many people.
its nothing more than 1 search bar and a button.

why has google not made a homepage?
where people can put widgets and favorites etc?

your fav cryptos at the top. emails to the right.
top 10 fav links etc etc. google in the center.

others could do ticktock or insta etc.
seems so easy
 Quoting: T-Man

I'm pretty sure google used to have homepages, wasn't that google+?
But they ended it?

A lot of browsers have a new tab page that functions as a home page, Pale Moon has worked well for me that way, Brave not so much.

I"m trying to get away from being lazy and just clicking on the "most visited sites" that turn up the same every time on the new tabs.

So I finally am making an actually useful home page with the start.me

I make so many pages and then they get all loaded up with random stuff and cease being useful.

So this time I"m going to keep it clean and hope that if I make accounts with Bitchute, Rumble, and alternative social media platforms, maybe I'll get off youtube and twitter so much.

My sun sign = Aries rose

Saturn in Capricorn in the 6th might work like a Saturn sun sometimes, it's been getting a lot of heavy transits, coming out of second Saturn return. So, maybe I seem very Saturnine, I'm sure I do. Need to make that as positive as I can since there seems no escaping it right now.
 Quoting: Vision Thing

yay Aries <3

i mean i have firefox and when i open a new tab it shows my personal favorites. but it could be so much more if it was a page with widgets and apps etc.
i just want my favorite links in one corner. my coinmarketcap portfolio in another.
small youtube player in the 3rd and the 4th quarter for a list/notepad/shopping list

i guess i missed google + but it sounds nice.

that last bit you said went way over my head :D
but since youre aries you could probably read my tarot and play some instrument too. very cool

Choose: create new page

you get a blank new page

(I think the 60.00 is for teams, like big organizations, to be able to have group access to pages? The 20.00 a year premium/pro whatever it is, is perfectly fine, but the free works great for what it is, no problem)

No seriously when I found this a few years back - I could so see the potential.

I said "You can do more, with fewer buttons, than anything I have ever seen."

They had a deal back then, 40.00 for a lifetime upgrade, I said, this is going to be worth it, even though I didn't have a lot of money to throw around.

The free version lets you build 3 free pages, and if you're using Brave you won't see the ads they're talking about anyway.

I made a free account to share that crypto page, I didn't want to share my real account with like 50 private pages I made for myself, in case someone could somehow hack through to it.

It's always good to keep your crypto related stuff separate from your other online activities, like a separate email address for sure, etc.

I've never used any embedded search function in start.me?

I think that's intended to search Start.me pages that others have made? (OR - maybe your own pages?)

I never use regular google search for anything anymore because it's impossible to get good results for natural health topics anymore and that's a big part of what I search for.

I was using duckduckgo for a long time but I switched to something else which I can't remember what it was.

You can put links to any search engine you want in a bookmark widget

Or you can just search in your address bar in a new tab

Hold on! Keep in mind, Brad (and the knight/Bearable Guy) is close to the king who is King Palindrome AKA David Schwartz.

Re: The XRP Investor Thread
Wish GLP had a way to search a thread, that way I wouldn't expose myself as a slow learner lol.

Want to get away from Uphold to be able to acquire XRP and get to hardware wallet ASAP in the future. VT's helper page suggests buying XLM on coinbase and sending to atomic where I can convert to XRP is best way to go. Once converted is there any waiting before it can go to hardware wallet?

Since coinbase stated they'd consider account assets confiscable if they enter bankruptcy, isn't that a worry?

If so, is Kraken next best way to go? Aren't their fees pretty high?

What fees to expect from buying on coinbase to transferring to converting should I expect to run into?

Am I correct that only $200 a day can be transferred from coinbase or is that only when purchased through debit card? What about having bank account as payment source?

Waiting period from purchase to transfer on Coinbase?

Thanks....again!

A: I'm not sure sending XLM from Coinbase and sending it to Atomic to convert to XRP is the best way to go, but it's one way to go, and pretty straightforward for someone starting out. Not sure what the downside of doing it this way would be, as long as you are careful and thorough with every step.

There is no waiting to send anything off Atomic unless it is staked.

Since coinbase stated they'd consider account assets confiscable if they enter bankruptcy, isn't that a worry?

A: that's why we're all sending our coins off the exchanges (that and the danger of hacking), but you have to onboard fiat somewhere.

If so, is Kraken next best way to go? Aren't their fees pretty high?

A: The same problems of any exchange apply the same to Kraken. I wouldn't worry about fees. Fees only add up if you are doing a lot of trading. Pay what you need to pay to buy what you need to buy and forget about it.

What fees to expect from buying on coinbase to transferring to converting should I expect to run into?

A: You will probably pay between 3% and 4% to purchase crypto on Coinbase depending on what method you use to pay. Their FAQ says "all fees will be disclosed at the time of the transaction"

Am I correct that only $200 a day can be transferred from coinbase or is that only when purchased through debit card? What about having bank account as payment source?

A: When you pay with a bank account there is a delay in being able to send off. When you pay with a debit card you can send some off right away. The longer you are with coinbase and the more transactions you successfully complete, the more the restrictions are loosened as far as I can tell in my experience. The debit card fee is higher but you can send it right away.

Waiting period from purchase to transfer on Coinbase?

A: with a bank account you can send in about 4 business days

Thanks....again!

Coinbase does have an extensive FAQ section but you can learn a lot just by doing it too.

Just go slow! And pay attention to every step you make, every time.

It's insightful to hear Brad refer to the people he deals with in his meetings at Davos.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80002697

It gets interesting at about 12:00 minutes in.

I liked the way he emphasized the focus on payments and that "everyone who got into crypto got into it because they hoped to make the world a better place with this technology"

He said tribalism in crypto should be a bad word, he believes in a multi chain world, lets all support each other.

---> When someone said they felt it was an achievement that crypto representatives were members of WEF, they instantly took their badges off <----

Said the first year at Davos someone said "I'm surprised you're here, crypto is still a bad word here" but four years later everything has changed

95% of Ripple's clients, volume, business is non-US

Asked what happens when lawsuit is settled, said "We're already functioning as though we've lost - hiring 600 people mostly overseas, business growing and thriving"

Asked "you're a crypto guy, why are you wearing a suit and tie" he said he is meeting with central bankers and clients and wears a suit and tie to be accepted and heard.
Said he can't wait to take it off because "it's really fucking hot" :)

Said there's a bill in congress
Digital Commodities Exchange Act DCEA
We should ask our representatives to support it

Said in the past central bankers were advocating to commercial banks "we should limit this"

Don't make the mistake of thinking regulations aren't important - we may not like KYC but - went on about that and about things have to happen if we're going to use the technology to make the world a better place

Definitely made the distinction about CBDCs that are for surveillance, sounded scathing about China being first with a digital yuan - said he didn't necessarily see the need for a CBDC in USA? "Case for US CBDC is unclear"

Did mention a retail, wholesale version of CBDC

Well, I believe I am going to fund Kraken from my bank account. Already have an account. FWIW, for a $20 XLM purchase the fee is 40 cents.

Buy whatever XLM with Kraken, wait only 72 hours after buy before I can send any amount to Xumm wallet.

Convert some/all to XRP and move to nano immediately.
**

With Uphold I will be waiting until end of July before I can get all XRP I've bought off there, that hurts.

For now, I only want to fill my bag and hodl.

Thank you everyone, I really appreciate all the help. This forum is so great being able to interact with like-minded folk. Think I might have to re-up my account to show support!

(I've got that right, right?)

Dudes rich off selling xrp created out of thin air with zero regulation.

You can't have an asset appreciate value and be used as a currency.

The only way to make money is to create your own magic crypto and dump it on 'investors' But your idiots and don't understand xrp is not intended to be held. Its a transactional bridge.

It'll go up. Big money is just waiting till the last minute.

Buy ripple stock. How can they lose? Unending free money supply. They thank you for that. Plus a good product they can sell for DOLLARS to banks.

Re: The XRP Investor Thread
Well, I believe I am going to fund Kraken from my bank account. Already have an account. FWIW, for a $20 XLM purchase the fee is 40 cents.

Buy whatever XLM with Kraken, wait only 72 hours after buy before I can send any amount to Xumm wallet.

Convert some/all to XRP and move to nano immediately.

You can't send XLM to XUMM, XUMM is for XRP Ledger coins.

You'd still need to trade the XLM for XRP somewhere.

Can you buy XRP on Kraken?
