The XRP Investor Thread
A couple things/rules before I start this:

1. I am not affiliated with any prior XRP poster here. Yes I've posted on many threads but I am not one of them. I do not recruit, I don't care about other sites. GLP has been my home for 20+ years. If anything, I bring people here. I've met many GLPers IRL so this is not an attempt at anything other than discussion. They can vouch for it.

2. If you're an asshole, you're out of the thread for good. If you're a cointelpro, chicom, 3.50 shill, you can fuck right off. If I have to turn off AC posting, I'll do it in two seconds. I've never cared about what you think, nor will I ever. You play for the wrong team and your shill opinions don't matter. There's enough of you on the boards that you don't need to be here.

3. With that said, dissenting opinions are welcome. I'm not looking for an echo chamber, I'm looking for real talk. I'll tell you right now that I'm an XRP maxi but that doesn't mean my mind isn't malleable. Things change. I've reinvented myself so many times in life and I plan to do it more. If XRP shows me something to get out, I'll for sure cut my losses.

4. There are a lot of good posters in this community that belong in good XRP discussion and I hope they come around. ARK, grove street, My Foolish Daydream, T-Man, pool, Vision Thing, brian frees, Abe Froman.....the list goes on and on I'm missing a lot of the top of my head but these are legit people who know what's coming. Their insight is invaluable. We had a good thing going. I'm bringing this back in a transparent way.

----

That's the honest truth here. If it's not for you then no worries. However there's a lot of good people around these boards and my hope is to bring them around again. In the just way, not what happened in the past.

Re: The XRP Investor Thread
Okay with that said, I want to talk about all things XRP and that's what this thread is for. Whether it be price manipulation, Hinman getting deposed, what the DOGE creator just said about exiting the market because the whales rig it....you name it, I want to talk about it.

I'm going to bed but I'm going to start posting my daily findings on the XRP world.

For now, I'll just say if you haven't read James Filan and his analysis of the XRP lawsuit, you should. If you haven't seen Jeremy Hogan's videos on what's going on, well he's a genius and I'll start posting them.

Night all, I'll start putting up content in the morning.

Still learning about coins, tokens. I don't know how to do the numbers to understand what price potential XRP could have. It seems to be the best platform for instant day to day transactions. What solidifies it with me is the SEC fucking with them and the delay when they have no case. If the insider criminals are trying to stop it, then that's the one for me. I got 124 so far but I am working on other things like AMC and silver.

Re: The XRP Investor Thread
XRP is a shill token generated and circulated by Ripple Labs Inc.

They alone control the ledger, maintain the 100 billion tokens, and “promise” to release an additional 1 billion tokens each month. And it costs them nothing to generate; just typing a number.

It is completely centralized and not a true crypto-coin by any proper definition.

Disclaimer: Of course I own some. I also own Federal Reserve Notes. But that doesn’t make either any good.

XRP was created before Ripple So you are wrong on that.

They only control a small amount of the validating nodes. Something like 6% So your wrong on that too.

Maxi's always claim its centralized but its not because anyone can setup and become a trusted node.

Its not a PoW or PoS coin its based on a Consensus Ledger to solve the double spend problem.

You should sell your XRP if you hate it so much. Its going down.

Exactly 100Billion xrp tokens were created. 43.6B in circulation, the rest approx 56B are in escrow or held by institutions (thus not counted towards marketcap). No XRP token has been created since the initial offering. A tiny fraction of XRP is burned after each ledger transaction (.00003), it is deflationary. Not rare like BTC, but btc has no open source ledger, and has a dubious beginning, meaning many btc are lost or held by the "original" creators. BTC could never be a unit of account and thus it is laughable to believe that it would be a global reserve CURRENCY (emphasis added).

Could more XRP be made by a vote from validator nodes? Yes, 80% agreement to do that. Same with a token burn. And Ripple owns >10% of nodes on the network. These options maybe considered as XRPS importance and use case in the upcoming QFS is "determined."

This is the real deal, anything else is pure BS. Peace.

Whatever the formal ownership arrangements might have been, from an intellectual property perspective it’s undeniable that Ripple Labs is all over XRP. The XRP brand name is owned by Ripple Labs. The fact that Ripple Labs filed a trademark application over the word mark “XRP” six months after launch, and 8 months after Jed McCaleb’s GitHub commit on 4 November 2012 that first changed the ticker symbol from “XNS” to “XRP,” shows that (a) XRP did not exist before that date, which in any case is two months after Ripple Labs was incorporated and (b) the Ripple Labs company regarded the “XRP” IP as its own.

Regardless, the fact remains: XRP is not based on blockchain, it is not mined and it is heavily centralized. XRP uses its own RPCA (Ripple Protocol Consensus Algorithm) and has roughly 1,000 nodes.
36 nodes must finalize the transactions (the code refers to it as UNL, Unique Node List), and guess who hand selects the Unique Node List? They pick and choose who can oversee all the transactions. Don’t forget, it wasn’t long ago (a year?) that Bitcoin had more nodes than XRP had total addresses!

Bitcoin has had hundreds of forks, because it’s decentralized.
XRP has had 1 utility fork managed by Ripple Labs Inc themselves that has gone literally nowhere, with an airdrop to boot! Why? Because it is all centralized.

We all know that the Ripple executives constantly lie and say XRP is more decentralized than Bitcoin. This is a great scam to run in order to get people to keep buying their weekly XRP dumpings so Ripple can generate more profit. Hence the position they’re in now.

The XRP Ledger is frequently criticized for the alleged centralization of its system, as the majority of XRP tokens are owned by Ripple itself along with other insiders at the company.

Don’t think Ripple’s XRP is here to make you any money in the long run. There will never be any left to make with these guys at the helm. It is, therefore, centralized.

In 2017 I started looking into XRP. Long story short, the rabbit hole never ended. Then the bear pops up, giving hit to things along the way. It’s been a wild ride. I believe though, from what I’ve seen, that this token will have a major role in making money move like information does today.

Britto and David are from the Satoshi team, no doubt. The NSA is behind most of this. That’s the concerning part to me. I hope this tech isn’t use to make life worse for us.

Ive been on this XRP ride since January and I really am still skeptical. Its quite possible Ripple will win the case and XRP could go up in price but we are in a bear market so it will be constrained by that.

XRP is 27 Billion USD market cap, for it to go to 5$ that would put it over 100 billion which would be one huge stretch of the imagination. All this talk of flipping the switch is just coin shilling, its not going to 35k...heck it can't even stay above 1$.

That said I have some hopium to get a small rally once the SEC case is over. What worries me though is that there are several crypto's out there that could also be the World Bridge Currency but are being quietly suppressed while XRP takes all the heat.....XLM?
