Quoting: REaliZe They alone control the ledger, maintain the 100 billion tokens, and “promise” to release an additional 1 billion tokens each month. And it costs them nothing to generate; just typing a number. It is completely centralized and not a true crypto-coin by any proper definition. Disclaimer: Of course I own some. I also own Federal Reserve Notes. But that doesn’t make either any good. Heres a great example of illiteracy. “Ripple alone controls the ledger” “Costs them nothing to generate” Do yiu akways shit upside down into your own mouth? |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78891707 United States 07/19/2021 04:51 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ive been on this XRP ride since January and I really am still skeptical. Its quite possible Ripple will win the case and XRP could go up in price but we are in a bear market so it will be constrained by that. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79953611 XRP is 27 Billion USD market cap, for it to go to 5$ that would put it over 100 billion which would be one huge stretch of the imagination. All this talk of flipping the switch is just coin shilling, its not going to 35k...heck it can't even stay above 1$. That said I have some hopium to get a small rally once the SEC case is over. What worries me though is that there are several crypto's out there that could also be the World Bridge Currency but are being quietly suppressed while XRP takes all the heat.....XLM? Youre missing the Black Swan ;-) Bitcoin maxis and XRP haters are lacking in technology literacy, especially in the comp science side. *yawn* Edit: wasnt calling you a Bitcoin maxi or xrp hater |

I don't know how to do the numbers to understand what price potential XRP could have. It seems to be the best platform for instant day to day transactions. What solidifies it with me is the SEC fucking with them and the delay when they have no case. If the insider criminals are trying to stop it, then that's the one for me. I got 124 so far but I am working on other things like AMC and silver. Quoting: Agent-Smith THIS^^^^ I have been buying xrp for three years now but have been all in on AMC for past six months. When AMC is over I will go all in on XRP, XLM, XDC and algo. Oh and of course some silver and gold. |

One you have the crooked whales who manipulate the market to pieces. They don't want regulation. Then you have the bankers on the other side working towards what I think is the inevitable move of everything running on the XRPL. 40% of the top 100 banks are already there. It's just a matter of time. As far as price goes, I tend to agree with this. IF they win the case against the rigged SEC AND there is utility... https://twitter.com/_/status/1417090749066366978 |

The most it was ever worth was like $3. Whoopie. I'm in for the long term utility. ODL and global interoperability. It's completely inevitable. Don't care that it's short right now. More time to buy every month. |

They only own 8% of the validator nodes so they Cannot make sweeping decisions for the whole ledger. More than half is in escrow too. Even if it's not a true crypto in the sense, it's inevitable to me that's where this is all heading towards. Yo me it's either get with the program or get lost behind. This IMO is the last chance if generational wealth in our lifetime of this nature. As far as being centralized goes, there's this. I highly recommend everyone read the entire article because it's loaded with goodness. [link to galgitron.net] The XRP network architecture started centralized, just like Bitcoin started centralized. Because of the way that XRP decentralizes, it took a while longer than Bitcoin did to fully decentralize, but XRP is now completely decentralized, and not within Ripple's ability to coerce, censor, or modify. In fact, if Ripple went out of business today, XRP will continue unabated. This is a fact. Then there's the malicious attempt to smear the confidence-shaking negative word 'centralized' to describe Ripple's XRP holdings instead of using the proper term, 'concentrated', intentionally commingling terms to sow confusion and unwarranted concern. All companies have assets. You wouldn't refer to Microsoft's assets as centralized, or Apple's, or Warren Buffet's.. Why should Ripple be held to a different standard simply because their assets are crypto? It's senseless and a sensationalist attempt to foment bad connotations onto an innocent fact. It's a bit outdated (still says XRP is not quite decentralized, but it is now), but this blog smashes the centralized FUD to bits. |

Sorry I missed ya in the OP but you're one of the good ones for sure. Good things coming in this thread (: Already got red. Figures lol. Same haha. Glad I could care less. Something like 6% So your wrong on that too. Maxi's always claim its centralized but its not because anyone can setup and become a trusted node. Its not a PoW or PoS coin its based on a Consensus Ledger to solve the double spend problem. You should sell your XRP if you hate it so much. Its going down. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 80163380 United States 07/19/2021 10:00 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In 2017 I started looking into XRP. Long story short, the rabbit hole never ended. Then the bear pops up, giving hit to things along the way. It’s been a wild ride. I believe though, from what I’ve seen, that this token will have a major role in making money move like information does today. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80477481 Britto and David are from the Satoshi team, no doubt. The NSA is behind most of this. That’s the concerning part to me. I hope this tech isn’t use to make life worse for us. I get the fact that who is really behind this is a concern. I really do. To me if you look at what's happening globally there is no doubt of if, just a matter of when. Every country will have a CBDC and XRP will bridge them all. To me, the rest is where the chips fall but this is happening. |

The timing coinciding with Jed about to empty his wallet and Cyber Polygon are interesting! Quoting: My Foolish Daydream The SEC is screwed. Apparently they're going to appoint a "master" during the Hinman deposition in regards to what can be objected and what can't. This is such a show it's laughable. The crooked whales have tried everything and will fail. In addition to Jed, the deposition, and Cyber Polygon, you have Warren's demand to Gensler for crypto clarification by July 28. Interesting times friend (: |

The haters are just not worth it. This subject brings out the worst in people. It attracts con men and control freaks. Follow the big following youtubers and you can make your own decision. Quoting: Edmond Dantès The only real question is this. Is digital money part of the future. If your answer yes then buy some coins. If not then dont. Appreciate the words. There was a bunch of people that used to talk to each other and it all got thrown away. I was thinking about it and it was a bummer. I could care less about the haters. I'm the end you're right. Is the world going digital? That's all you have to answer. One thing for sure is going digital to me and that's money. |

I don't know why people use market cap as a metric when its completely misleading and manipulated. It doesn't mean anything and hurts people's rationale when making decisions. If XLM was the future then they would have many partners globally. Last I checked they have the Ukraine and that's it. |

Personally until regulation comes into this space, TA is a joke and should be thrown out the window. The whole market is manipulated. With that said. If it hit .42 I wouldn't be shocked. But once the dam breaks the flood is going to be very interesting. |

What's happening is a massive round of FUD everywhere to get people out. |

Wish every company could create Billions out of thin air then pay everyone to list, try out, and hype their product. Brilliant Quoting: Anonymous Coward 47302461 I'd like to see their marketing because I have only seen them sign on banks from all over the world. Better marketing than any TV and print campaign ever. |
