How can this be happening? They're literally not stablecoins....
Quoting: Luminous Epinoia The dumb one here asks, is it a tether issue? Quoting: pool This is different. I've never seen tether's price come off a dollar. Tether prints coins out of thin air and washes them through BTC for real money. Tether isn't backed by actual dollars so it's basically the fed printing worthless money and then turning those pieces of paper into a tangible asset. Here stablecoins are supposed to always be a dollar. So in the past, when I have exited out of an XRP position, I turned it into a stablecoin (usually DAI), waited for the price to drop, and then converted my DAI into XRP at a much better entry point. This is because the stablecoin was always worth a dollar. Imagine exchanging for a stablecoin that was actually $1.32 and losing 32% of your exchange because the truth was that it wasn't actually ever a stablecoin. This is some messed up shit.
