Re: The XRP Investor Thread
If you read all the replies and conversation on those XUMM threads at their twitter account, it explains a lot.

In my limited understanding it isn't any problem with the ledger itself.

They said it was because all these developers pushing new tokens were using the two public nodes that are available to developers to access the XRP Ledger, when the terms for using those public nodes specify that they are not for production use.

The people pushing airdrops of new tokens should have set up their own nodes, is the message I was getting from what the XUMM twitter account was saying.

No clue!

Sounds like the developers need to update their trustline, but does that invalidate many of them? Do people need to sign back up? Do positions in queues get juggled?

Wild, wild, west.

Morning all. I just wanted to say that I know the thread has gone heavily into airdrops and Solo recently, but that doesn't mean that what it's all about anymore. It's just that there is a lot of money to be made coming up and there's a lot to say in regards to it. Everyone here is trying to become as profitable as possible.

However I don't want anyone to feel boxed out because the conversation seems dominated in that direction. If there are other things to talk about, and there always are, then please by all means carry on.

Just wanted to make that clear (:

Re: The XRP Investor Thread
these airdrops may not be worth it....im sitting them out thinking something is shady about all of them. i dont know what it is but its something to me...i will just hodl and take what i have to the bank when its time...could be just ignorance...also...so many networks are not not not going to be used...only a few...these airdrops may garner a few pennies of profit but at what expense for the last bag holder...is it really even ethical to trade in something that will never have a shot at adoption....no judgement just observation....its these pumpy dumpy coins that have gensler going godzilla on everyone and rightfully so.
 Quoting: Edmond Dantès

I can understand that position. However the airdrops have for the most part proven themselves out already. Also many people give their product away in the beginning in many industries to get the word out. To me it's like giving away samples at the grocery store. That's just me.

I like to believe I'm a man with a strong moral compass and backbone but I do not find any of this to be unethical. I can see how one could however. Either way I appreciate the opinion and don't feel the judgement at all.

If anything, XRP holders are owed these drops considering the pain they have been through over the last several years. To be this is compensation for being screwed for so long.

Xumm isn't allowing XRP to SOLO transfers right now.

"The price difference between buying and selling offers is too high".

Xumm doesn't allow screenshots of their app otherwise I'd post it.
 Quoting: Luminous Epinoia

Yo. A couple of hours ago I tried to flip 225 Solo for 1035 xrp. And like you said

"The price difference between buying and selling offers is too high".

So this is what I did. I kept clicking and switching back and forth until I got the blue trade button. But you have to have lightning fast fingers. It took me 3 or 4 trys, but I finally clicked fast enough and the order went through.

Then I sent that 1035 xrp to uphold. That took about an hour to go through. That was weird. Usually its practically instantaneous.
 Quoting: Abe Froman

I'll file that away for the future. That was really shocking quite honestly but knowing the whole story now it all makes sense. I'm hoping poking these holes in the system provides quick and remedied answers so that this never happens again.

Re: The XRP Investor Thread
if you look on sologenic, the order books showing over $6.6 now, yet its all locking up again. I think theres to many transactions and things are crashing. Where do you think solo will end up before the airdrop? I think its looking to be over $25 at this point. Thats seriously tempting to sell back into xrp. Then buy back when the coin crashes after the snapshot. Which way round will make the best money? I personally think if you think youill be selling solo just after the airdrop your kidding yourself. The market will lock and crash like it always is. When youill be able to actually sell the token it will have bottomed
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80837959

This is the million dollar question. The ledger is not an exchange so what happened yesterday was vastly different then when you see the exchanges "system crash" when massive moves are happening freezing you out. However it was eye opening to say the least and anything is possible. The amount of participants in the Solo airdrop will be much larger than what happened in the other recent airdrops.

So what to do..... I'm not sure on that yet but I'm going to write Xumm after this sorts itself out to see what they expect for what's upcoming. I'll post what they say when it happens.

This is 100% correct and you could tell people weren't establishing their own nodes. Some even have plans in the future but not yet.

On top of that if XUMM updates their software to include the option to pay higher transactions fees, that would make the whole process much smoother.

I almost wonder if this was another one of the stress tests the institutions wanted to see happen before they go full implementation. Once they do, they won't put up with redundant loops from the ledger or any of the other problems occuring because of how much it will cost them.

Well in the end, 99% of crypto is going away and all these memecoiner will be at the top of the list.

Vagabond is actually running two simultaneous tokens. I feel like when this has happened in the past, one always bombs out. Good news is the airdrop gives VGB, not the Binance token VGO. I just wonder what the latter can affect the former in regards to price.

No worries here - have been enjoying learning new things!

Don't really see it as really drifting away from XRP. We're still on topic, exploring the real-world application and the utility function of XRP.

Steps taken together give us individually the courage to try new things, such as using XUMM, Dex apps and private wallets.

Grateful for everyone here and the knowledge shared... :)

So, Sologenic will be creeping up to 7 bucks here soon. This number is what I was I was hoping to be by the snapshot.

We are still 3 weeks away. This really could surpass 15.00 by the 24th. I'm not calling it. I'm just reading what people I think have a bit more knowledge than me.

Every time I've said it's going to hit a certain number, within 24 hours it does. Only because I saw someone else say it.

Twitter has a lot of info.

At this rate, we will reach 15 to 25 dollars. I'm not saying, I'm just saying what someone else is saying.

They've been pretty spot on.

Honestly I thought 7 dollars was going to be the cap but this is such a meteoric rise that it's going to fly by it. Absolutely no one is selling at this point because they know what's coming. We're eclipsing a dollar a day and the last 24 hours was two dollars. Even if it ends up doubling itself one more time before the snapshot that's pretty amazing.

There's no way to speculate but 15 to 25 seems like a practical landing spot. I can't believe I'm saying that but it makes sense. No one will sell until the snap shot, I've still been accumulating myself.
