So he's the lord of the "good guys" huh? Sounds compassionate and forgiving. In a way, yes but also no. If you're not a Christian and/or are unfamiliar with the Bible you probably wouldn't understand. Everyone is inherently good but they're also capable of evil acts (sins) due to human nature and us being a product of our environment and circumstances. Jesus died a martyr so humanity could be forgiven of our sins. If we follow his teachings and God's wishes for us, try our best to not sin etc then we will be forgiven for our wrongdoings after death. We will enter a dimension of eternal bliss. (Heaven) Those who deny Jesus and rebel against God will enter a dimension of suffering (Hell) whatever that may be. The bible says self sacrifice is for idiots. It will profit you nothing. So, Christ sacrificed himself to himself? Thats serious mental illness and also the story of Odin.
