Western Civilization has been rooted in Christianity for 2000 years. It is the height of arrogance to dismiss something with such an influence as mere stupidity.

Would one visit a Navajo village or a Hindu village and look around and declare,"This shit is stupid"? One should have at least a modicum of respect for cultural roots unless there is a serious immoral or evil nature involved such as child sacrifice for example.
