We aren't cut out to be socialists. We are the people who couldn't be constrained by Europe. We are the malcontents, idealists, speculators, dreamers, inventors, debtors and criminals who would not be chained. We don't play well with others, we are brash, outlandish and cunning. let us do what we do best; let us be Americans. |

Everything can be measured or explained with mathematics. God the creator of all things is not a number but numbers have their source in the creator. God is in everything but nothing (NO-Thing). Right you are. "A wise man listens to the message and uses his logic and discernment to process it, a fool negates the message by prejudging the messenger." Egyptians probably got it from the Atlanteans. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71202059 Good observation about the Romans. They did steal alot from the Egyptians, Greeks and Syrians. They were damn good builders and engineers though. They also had great military organization. The real secret about their strength was their money. They used the denarius that started out around 95-98% purity then over time they began clipping the coins and diluting the silver content. As the money began to be debased so did the empire, same with the US today we were strongest when our money was gold and silver of constitutional specification. |

There is NO ratio that will produce √2 - it simply can't be done. It's what we now call an irrational number, not because it is illogical, but because it can't be represented as a ratio of whole numbers. This was what sent the Pythagoreans into such a spin that they may have sacrificed poor Hippasus |

Opium had become a taboo subject for those in circles of learning during the Holy Inquisition. In the eyes of the Inquisition, anything from the East was linked to the Devil. |
