Turns out BIG GOV banned ALL wild fire burning back in 1905 to 'save lives'. Where are we now? | |

I started doing this research because a family member brought up the wildfires out west, saying they had no idea how to handle them. I told him the natives DID know how to handle fire but big gov came in and stopped them. I was speaking out of my ass at the time but here is the proof and I am honestly more shocked than expected. Smokey the Bear is propaganda and they banned ALL burning in the name of 'saving lives'. They built infrastructure and started educational campaigns around the entire topic of fire safety. Not that fire safety isn't important, but it is even more important to know how to control fire in an area where fire is actually beneficial to the environment. All of this to save lives, right? Because one life, despite the cold grip that death constantly holds over us anyway, is one too many, right? |

Because one life, despite the cold grip that death constantly holds over us anyway, is one too many, right? Back when I was in Forestry school, we had to attend a summer session which included a bus tour of sample forestry prgrams. One was the Colville Tribe's operation. The tribal forester explained how the government came in and shut down the tribal elders from doing their traditional underburns. These burns revigorated the native medicinal plants the Colvilles had used all through their history for traditional medicines. The elders outsmarted them, however. They took a wooden crate, and placed a lit candle inside, and as the candle burnt down, it lit the crate on fire, which spread throughout the underbrush and cleaned up the stand. By the time the fire got going, the elders had been back at home for sometime and could not be pinned with the 'crime'... lol. I always admired them for their courage in standing against the agencies who were bent on denying them their medicines!!! "All you may know of heaven or hell is within your own self." - Edgar Cayce |
